argh have had another spendy day
!! Cash & carry £109  double what i was expecting. Plus side of this is we have enough rice, washing up liquid, toilet rolls to last around 4 months lol. Then we went to sainsbug as dd badly burnt today
so we had to get her a new sun hat for school, some suncream & aftersun & we also got some new sandals for her as her poor little feet are sweating in her trainers. So because we had picked up that for DD, DS2 kicked off and we ended up with 2 of everything (one girls set and one boys lol) so £50 later :rolls eyes: and we were heading home....dd & ds kick off as it's now half 5 and they're hungry, cue us stopping to mcdonalds to get them both a happy meal, which they eat 3 chips and half a fishfinger and demand an ice cream! KIDS!

Hi dfw, it's been a while since I've caught up with your diary.
Hope the curtains and cushions give the room a totally fresh look. We've been in our house now for 4 years and haven't managed to do any decorating. Paint is so expensive over here. I really being able to get cheap paint! Most of our rooms could do with a makeover of some sort. We have rooms with curtains that don't match, just because we're trying to make do. I dream of the day we can start renovating and decorating. :cool:Diary: Conquering Debts Once and For All

hello!! i've been really slack on my diary these last few weeks
feeling bad ! And it also keeps me on the straight and narrow when i come on here a lot :rotfl:.
Well tody is pay day :j and i've updated my spreadsheet & daily spend spreadsheet :T. DH has his £500 pocket money. I couldn't be bothered arguing. I got myself a new mobile (2nd hand blackberry :T) am waiting for it to be posted from ebay now
And i have worked out how much money we have to 'fritter' 'spend' whatever and it's around £500 .....this is after i have bought the bunk beds, new curtains, new cushions & new flowers etc for the front room. The front room is looking very nice i have to admit
and i love it so think it was well worth the £100+ to brighten it up
.
Need to sort out ds2 & dd room but their bunk beds are due next week so i'm in 2 minds as to whether to just leave it as a mess and do it all at once....i will see after the weekend now i think
I also have to sort out my room as all the junk that had been piling in ds1 room is now in mine as he's back from school!
Have booked tickets for the theatre for the kids £42 for 4 tickets for a 55 min performance  they better like it ! That's not until beginning of may anyway but they were selling so quick i had to get them now!
Take out tonight & a moviethink we're watching tintin & perhaps kebabs or kfc for dinner! hubby doesn't want indian as all the take aways round here are horrid, and we're bored of chinese!
All my savings pots that i borrowed from have been paid back :T and i can afford to get 1 years tax for the car instead of 6 months :j also my regular saver matured and i made £11 interest for a whole year...that doesn't seem like much to me  so now have £611 will wait till new isa's are available and stick in there and try and add to it
I hope everyone is ok and i'm sorry for not catching up with everyonehave a great weekend all

Hi DFW321..good to see you posting again. Understand about the Spendaholic bit..that was me about a month ago and I definitely find the discipline of being on here and having to confess all does act as a blocker to some of my worst potential excesses!!!
Sounds like a great eve. My DDs and OH have just left for a week away so will miss them but in a way will also enjoy being calm and in a quiet house, planning and plotting our future truly MSE way of life!:DMFiT-T4 Member No. 96 - 2022 is my MF goal

Hi DFW321, don't beat yourself up over the spending. We all fall off the wagon from time to time. I think as long as you know what you spent the money on then sometimes a 'blow-out' can be good for the soul.Diary: Conquering Debts Once and For All
