 i'm quite lucky at finding money too
i once found a wallet, handed it in and it was never claimed so was allowed to keep it! It had £60 odd quid in it ...i also found money in te$co when i was younger around £100! (my biggest find ever!) and the odd fiver or tenner here and there
Didn't find any money todaybut did find some bargains in a$da so have lots of bread in for the week from the reduced section and juice :rotfl: oooh and does anyone know how long juice lasts ...they display it in the fridge section so does that mean it has to stay in there even if unopened or can it be put in cupboards and stored
!
took kids to woods today so was free, there are putting up parking meters though which i wasn't happy abouteffective from next week
BOO!
Still a spend day though £16.80 from asda for top up bits! Food is so expensive!
Will try and catch up on diaries todayas i'm in for the day now!

I'm so pleased you had a lovely day at the Zoo, and what is it with you and finding money ?!! I need to start that up as my new found hobby I think. I will keep my eyes more closely peeled in future ! I found a wallet on the train when I was about 16, on my way for a day trip with friends. I handed it in to the train driver, much to my friends disgust but he gave it back to me, there was about £65 in there. We had so much fun that day, but I still feel a bit guilty even now as that person may have really needed it and I spent it on candy floss and fun fair rides !
As far as the juice goes, if its displayed in the fridge section I would assume it needs to stay chilled , but I could be wrong xLBM July 2011 - Finally took control Nov 2011 DFD Sometime in the distant future !

Well dh has been on extra good behaviour. I had breakfast in bed this morning and he is taking dd to nursery  so i am still in p.j's in my bed
I've committed an awful mse sin, i didn't go get my weekly shop (really wasn't feeling the supermarkets this weekend :rotfl:) and got 4 seperate top up shops since saturday........of course this resulting in the fact i have now probably spent more than i usually do for a whole weeks worth of shopping and i probably still need more stuff
oops!
DS2 is potty training (trying again) and it's going well :j no accidents yesterday :jand he is on the toilet now :T
I need to check my bank today as i fear it is heading into negative numbers at an alarming rate :o!
It's pay day on Friday :jbut i need to find £100 from one of my accounts before then  my ds needs picking up from school on thursday!! :Tcan't wait to see him though!
Right gonna have a catch up on here before i drag my lazy butt out of bedMORTGAGE BALANCE when we moved Aug 2024, £120,000. January 1st £118,267.06. This is all good.
Bright side, lots to celebrate. HHope the bank wasnt too bad. xTrying to shift that debt!0 -
well i've had a good spring clean sent lots of stuff to the loft. Also brought the cot part of DD bed down (she's in the cot bed bit) will try and sell that over the next few weeks. Also DS2 toddler bed.
i've just ordered bunk beds for them (through TCB 6.06% and £100 off voucher :T) it also has a trundle bed so if we have guests i have a spare bed :T.
I've sent dh to shops againneeded rice, tomatoes & cucumber (&wine:o)
chilli for dinner tonight. Pizza tomorrow with chips & thursday will be picking up ds1. DD is going to a friend so just ds2 to take with me
. we'll grab something to eat on the way home probably so more expenses but can't really avoid as i pick him up right over ds2 dinner time!
I'm de-cluttering my living room tomorrow even morei have a beautiful welsh dresser but i'm bored of it
so a friend is coming over to help me carry the top part of it to the garage and i will just be left with the side board bit which might refresh the room a bit as all my furniture is solid heavy dark oak. Not very brightening, bit gloomy really ...i've also taken up the dark rug and have decided to change the colour scheme in there. Everything is neutral including curtains (thank god i didn't buy that other pair lol) and i only need to change rug & cushion covers ....so have taken rug away and won't replace will just make do with carpet
and buy some cheap cushions. I'm so desperate to move i have to make do with what i have lol so will have to spend a little to make it nice i think. (I know. Mse- bad. Promise to go through tcb or quidco though :rotfl:)

I did a similar thing with our dresser when we painted the kitchen back in January. The top part now lives in the garage and the sideboard part is still in the kitchen. It looks really nice and has really opened up the room. DD2 has taken to using the top as a desk to do her homework on though ! Whereas I was hoping for some lovely picture frames We painted all but one wall white and the other is a bright zesty lime green. The room looks so much jollier now. Good luck with your plans !
Enjoy that well deserved vino tonight xxLBM July 2011 - Finally took control Nov 2011 DFD Sometime in the distant future !

afternoon
well i've spent the morning with a friend moving furniture about. Much to hubby's annoyance. He has the day off and i would randomly call him in to move a piece of furniture only to call him back 10 mins later and ask him to put it back :rotfl: it's all moved about now though and the top part of the dresser, like pinots, live in the garage :rotfl:. I've got some beautiful flowers on the cupboard now & some pictures :T:D
Have also ordered some green curtains & cushions and am awaiting those now:D
The bunk bed has tracked on tcb :T £20 :T very happy with that means i got the bunk bed with extra bed (so the three beds & mattresses) for £300 i think thats a good deal
Off to cash & carry in a bit after i drop off an extra child i have over playing (def not taking 3 under 4's to cash & carry. My two are bad enough lol)
Need to do later:
*ds1 room- hoover, polish, make bed & tidy
*dinner
*sort out paperwork it's been piling for ages now!
*tidy my room- got all my summer clothes out and they're just strewn everywhere, floor, bed, cupboards:o
*chill out!:rotfl:MORTGAGE BALANCE when we moved Aug 2024, £120,000. January 1st £118,267.06.
