  • Evening!

I've been awol again! *slapped wrists*

Have been busy though. Have sorted out kids room, got rid of bags of clothes (well they are down stairs ready to be piled for ebay/charity/recycling!)also done the same in my room. The bunk beds are arriving on friday, I am off out to buy a cupboard for our room on Thursday as i'm sick to death of tripping over piles of clothes because we have no space. And i'm also pretty annoyed at having to throw loads of stuff away cos i have no room!

I've bought 2 new phones since payday........well new to us (ebay) so when the 2nd one arrives we will all have smart phones (only taken us 5 years longer than everyone else :p)

I need a memory card for mine though as it keeps telling me it is running slo because there is no memory left! will leave that as a job to do another day.

Funeral tomorrow. So will be out all day. I've been cleaning the house like mad and by the time i sit down in the evenings i'm falling asleep by 8pm :o hence not been on here. In fact as soon as i've typed this i am off to sleep :o feeling very old lately lol i need more sleep than my granny!

Thursday will be a big long list day i fear :( washing, washing up, sorting through ebay piles, buying cupboard for our room (hoping they have it in stock!) and Friday will be waiting on bunk beds day!

We're pretty much out of 'extra' money :o but we've made some big purchases, some needed desperately (new beds) others not ;) (phones, clothes, few toys here and there) but hey ho, it's only money you can't take it with you when you die eh.

Looking into doing my reiki level 2 in June as well so need to find some money for that :)

Oh and i was rather peed off this morning when i finally got round to realising my tax disc had actually run out :o:eek: the tax was £10 more expensive than the reminder they sent me only 2 weeks ago :mad::mad::mad: NOT impressed"!&^$^%$^%!! £270 for a flipping car to be taxed for the year :mad::mad: makes me angry!

Anyway away to bed with me. I will take some deep calming breaths and forget about that car tax :) I will also try and catch up on diaries at the weekend once my house has finally taken shape :T and has been de-cluttered (seems the reiki was good for one thing, never mind de-cluttering of the mind...i've done the whole house in 3 weeks :rotfl:)

  • Hi DFW321, don't beat yourself up over the spending. We all fall off the wagon from time to time. I think as long as you know what you spent the money on then sometimes a 'blow-out' can be good for the soul. :D
:T I think you're right the money has come in good time for my mad de-cluttering phase i'm going through :rotfl: and the extra cupboards & baskets & new curtains are doing wonders for my health :rotfl:

Hi there i hope you are ok and are enjoying having DS back home for the hols. Keep going with the money saving as we all have hiccups now and again but as long as we get back to it, it is fine :)
ds1 is locked in his room for most of the day  he has turned into a proper teenager. Honestly him being at boarding school and him being at home seems no different :rotfl:

Hello good to hear from you, sounds like you are having a totally mad decluttering frenzy. I find a good declutter very therapeutic !

Dont you love teenagers ?! To be fair DD1 isnt too bad, but I am finding she is loving spending time in her room recently, but then who doesnt like a bit of time to themselves every now and then ( it just is such a rare commodity for us mums isnt it ?!)

Hope the fuenral goes as well as can be expected tomorrow, your comment re the deep holes and the 2 yr old did make me giggle though ! :o

  • hello all :) no accidents with any deep holes *phew* and the day went as expected, crying, me running around after kids, hubby getting plastered and me driving home having to listen to drunken rants :p

I've spent the whole of today putting together bunk beds  can i just say that ... I HATE FLATPACKS . there that is better ..

Still awaiting delivery on some other bits to finish our room off but kids rooms are all done now :) we're officially broke again but oh well :o.

DH is off to his mums tomorrow but i'm going to stay behind hopefully and put bits on ebay as ther is a 4 day free listing i hear :j so can get on as much as possible :T including 2 toddler beds i now have in my front room!! I also have an ear infection & chest infection so would rather just stay in a chill out than go to his mums with 30 other people :o (i'm such a recluse)!

My new phone (blackberry) was playing me up but i think i've fixed it now by doing a factory re-set on it. i hope so anyway! or i've wasted rather a lot of money on it

I'm spending the afternoon catching up on t.v now after doing those bunk beds! hubby has taken kids swimming and i can't go cos of ear infection ;) (shame!) so will try and have a quick catch up on some of your diaries now :D

I know what you mean about flatpacks.
They take ages to put together and the instructions are never very clear.
Also I think sometimes the quality is not as good as a ready made item.
I could be wrong, but just my opinion.
