I am so so sorry for being AWOL..I am getting back and realise I have missed lots of news..some great and some sad. Well done on the MSE stuff (agree boo to AS3A too) but re your OH it seems for the best. Even, as others have said, if its about a bit of space for a while thats sounds just what you need. Like PG, I have never been one, either, to say stay together for the sake of the DC, you need to be calm and mature about it when making all the obvious arrangements, (even under extreme provocation at times I expect!) but putting up with unhappiness is no life at all!!
Its your diary babe..you write what you want to..we are just happy to read your musings..:T
And any person that likes smelly candles, their children when they are asleep;) and a cider is a friend of mine!!
ahh thank you brizzlei fully agree although now dh is doing his usual and being super nice. it only ever lasts as long as a few weeks though so i'm sticking to my guns as soon as ds goes back to school he can go. I want him to realise that he needs to change permanently (or not bother at all.) i've changed plenty for the kids & him so it wouldn't hurt him to act a little more grown up and take responsibility for his actions

I hope you find the money for the zoo passes soon as i know you are like me and rely on places like that to amuse the kids for free (Well sort of) I have recently got my new cards for local museum and although they are not as much as the zoo i have very nearly used them enough to make any future trips totally free
I hope OH realises that he cant just change for a few weeks and that it needs to be for life. A while back i am sure you mentioned his behaviour might be because of the tour that he did and you wanted him to get counselling. Did he ever look into this, or was this not the problem? Sorry i might be making this up completely but thought it was you?

Hi DFW321
Saw you on another thread and spent the last 2 days reading your whole diary  (good job DD had a friend round yesterday as she was busy all day :rotfl: so I had time to read)
My DH has depression and your DH reminds me of him a lot.
My DH is very selfish, everything is about him and what he wants, I try to make sure that everything is fine and the kids are well behaved so as not to antagonise him and so he gets annoyed.
My DH also has problems with money, he has always been of the opinion that what he wants he should have. If he happens to mention a big purchase to me and I show any hint of being interested at some point in the future, he takes this to mean he can buy it straight away
His latest irrational thing is that he has handed in his notice as he did not feel valued and he hoped by handing in his notice they would beg him to stay which they did but it is too late and his resignation has been accepted and now he is on gardening leave until his final day
I know that this life is not good for me or the kids and I was all ready to walk out of the relationship in Dec 2010 but then he got ill with another illness and this is still not resolved and I feel like I have to support him through this
Hope you manage to sort things out whichever option you take (((DFW321 & Family)))0 -

:T hello eager elephant (love the name) thank you for popping by :j. Your Dh does sound like mine! We had all that money in our pay check this month and i had begged him to put it towards some f&f to get our debt down and he just point blank refused saying he was having £500 and the kids were going to be spoilt (they really didn't need anything) i got a new phone (well new to me) and some trousers and that was it. These were kind of already in the budget anyway as other phone was broken and needed new trousers. We wasted so much on alcohol & food it made me feel sick
i said to dh today do you not regret wasting it all and he just replied 'nope- i earn the money i can spend it how i like' .
I keep reminding him he is moving out next week as he seems to think he has 'won me round' by doing a few jobs. argh. Men. :rotfl: I will pop over to your diary at some point today when i have half hour to myselfMORTGAGE BALANCE when we moved Aug 2024, £120,000. January 1st £118,267.06. argh my quotes aren't working properly today so will put my bit in bold lol so you can see difference :rotfl:
Well, yep that was me talking about dh and thinking he had a bit of depression from his tour but he refused to see anyone and childishly just ignored me and didn't speak to me for weeks until i dropped it *sigh*.
I was hoping to save some money from emergency funds this month but every month it gets swallowed upso no zoo passes just yet.....we put the car in this morning for the brakes. They want £450 for the brakes and some other little bits and £100 for tyres (cheapest they do)
i don't have that much available to pay them so had to raid the car fund again. Which means no money towards the insurance is in there again and i've had to raid the emergency funds and also some of next months money. I *may* have to call the cccs next week and beg for a payment holiday. DH is going to check his wages first though to see if we have any extra still owing from back pay due to him. If so we may be able to cover it. If not i think it's best to take a month away from cccs to replenish all the funds otherwise we will end up in the same situation again and again. Robbing peter to pay kwik fit .
My ebay ends tomorrow so will see how much i make there. as it stands right now i'm on £1. :rolls eyes: although have 11 watchers on one item (starting bid a tenner) so may make some money there. We've also promised to take kids swimming today so that will be another £15!! Argh. Money i hate it.
So not a nsd here anyway, i'm in a peed off mood cos of car and really have no idea how i will pay for school fees, cccs & bills next month :eek:MORTGAGE BALANCE when we moved Aug 2024, £120,000. Just a quick thought.
Have you thought to look at any of the Mobile Tyre Companies for the car tyres ? We have often found they are much cheaper than KwikFit , or local garages as they dont have the overheads ? I think I may have a business card lurking someowhere of the company we use that I believe is Nationwide, and they have a website I think where you can compare tyre costs.
I will be back later as I havent time now to comment on other bits and pieces you have mentioned. Sorry xxxLBM July 2011 - Finally took control Nov 2011 DFD Sometime in the distant future !
