  • Finally, managed to catch up on reading some diaries. Looks like you've had a busy week.

It must be such a relief to have a diagnosis for your son. It certainly was for me when DS1 was diagnosed with Asperger Syndrome a few years ago. Just knowing we weren't going mad and he wasn't crazy was a huge relief, as was having a reason for his odd behaviour. It felt like a huge weight had been lifted from our shoulders. I think it was a relief for him too. He's 5 years on from his diagnosis and is doing amazingly well both in school and socially. I know it's very hard for him at times and he's often in bed by 9pm as he gets tired easily. I hope he finds out quickly what works for him.

Well done on your NSD and for sorting your SOA for April. :T You're doing so well and you're always so positive.

morning fluffy (can i call you that ;)), you're right it feels like a huge weight has been lifted :T I think a lot of his frustration & bad tempers at school stem from him being pushed to do something he just couldn't do. Hopefully once he has a bit of help he will get on again and start enjoying school :) (i can but hope eh lol) he's got a new pen (stabilo banana shaped one) that was recommended and he said it is a lot easier to use than a parker so good news already :)

I'm so glad to hear your son is doing really well after 5 yrs -gives me hope lol. DS1 is also another one for needing an early night and being at boarding school he has to wait until the dormitory quietens down :( so a lot of his moods stem from being tired. Hoping it will change when he goes to his senior house in september though *fingers crossed*

  • Thank you all for the congrats on the nsd..... ;) not really very hard when you are as broke as i am though :p :rotfl:

I was in bed by 3pm yesterday  i had an awful migraine! I think it was from the bacon sarnie i had for lunch. I used to get them when i was little and i stopped eating that type of bacon (streaky) and i had completely forgotten about all the migraines when i went shopping and just happened to pick some up *doh* i did get up for a few hours in the evening but was back in bed by 9pm and it still hasn't gone completely now :(! DH is helping one of my friends move this morning so I am going to try and clean the house a little. It's such a mess & i have just remembered i've invited friends over on Monday for tea & cake (for my birthday ) so i had at least better clean the downstairs :rotfl:

Anyway i need to catch up on diaries so will also do that at some point today, although the screen is making my head worse atm!

  • Funny you should mention your birthday, I just thought about that and that you had mentioned it earlier in the week. ! I logged on to see if I had missed it, but I hadn't !

I hope your migraine shifts soon, nasty things they are. Mine pretty much stopped after I had DD2. No idea why they stopped so suddenly, but it was a relief.

So glad to hear that DS1 is well and seems happy. Especially with his new pen. It must be difficult getting lots of sleep when in a dormitory, my girls have been struggling getting to sleep even though they are at home and they have to have their rooms , it has to pitch black and deathly quiet though and they have now decided that the doors need to be shut tight as well ! Its a relief as I had to creep around like a little mouse until they were asleep before.

Well I hope you get some cleaning done if you feel well enough x

  • Trust you are having a good week-end. ;)

I hope your migraine has gone. Thankfully I only get visual migraines and not the main headache.

I hope DH is busy doing jobs around the house, unless of course he has gone to work.

Try and take it easy and relax over the week-end. It;s easier said than done when you have young children. I remember those days. :rotfl: They were about 12 years ago now.

I had better be quiet as I am depressing myself as I'm not as young as I used to be. :(

Well DS1 hasn't called today  so am assuming he's happy? Or on a murder rampage and will call me afterwards *hmmmm*

I will reach the grand ol' age of 33 on Monday, am looking forward to it. After all it can't go much worse than 32 was or 31 :rotfl::rotfl:
Not looking forward to more wrinkles though :(

Well i've been to friends house today, whilst looking after two toddlers i've been helping her to load her van up as she's moving. DH helped too. Then i took both kids to a$da for fruit & fridge bits. Spent £20  I am truly shocked at how much a cucumber was and was telling everyone and anyone who listened. So even though it was mighty busy in there I was avoided like the plague (or the mad old cat woman ) seriously though a few weeks back 80p.....now they are £1 :eek: that is a percentage increase of ummmm maybe 25% :o:o ok i dunno but it's a lot  not impressed. Noone else seemed bothered. Think maybe i think about these things too much ???

Anyway stew is in oven warming up. I have £10 in my purse and won't be spending anymore till pay day now! :) (promise..............:rotfl::A)
