    Hi DFW

Homemade playdoh is easy to make - plain flour, water, veg oil, salt and I think creme of tartar you can add food colouring to it as well or glitter!

My DD used to try and eat it when she thought no-one was watching her, I'm surprised she wasn't seriously ill with the amount of salt that was in it!

  • You've been very precise with posting your spending today. :D

Hope you and the family are feeling well.
Your car seems to hold more petrol than ours. Ours never goes above £66 thankfully.

It sounds as though DS1 is getting on better now. Great news! :D

It was a no cook recipe, all the wet ingredients were mixed together and then added to the dry mixture. I just can't remember the quantities.
  • Afternoon all :)

Well NSD today :j so will add that to sig in a mo :T

Tomorrow will be another spendy day as will buy lunch out & also toll charges. Hoping the petrol will see us from here to mum's (she's having kids) to ds1 school and back again to mums & home! Not planning on doing much with kids next week. Broke & also too cold. Maybe a cinema day (really need to get some free tickets!) & a take out.

gave friend her cake (well we ate it here lol) and card. So haven't needed to raid stocks for presents etc.

I'm waiting in for a delivery from rosspa today. I wish the delivery charges were cheaper as i would use it more often. £5.50 just seems extortion to me (tight wad dfw!)

I've become the laughing stock & talking point re: coupons & hoarding :rotfl::rotfl: I brought my friend with me to ald1 when i had all those vouchers and she was laughing...........but when they took nearly £11 off in money at the end she was more ....so was apparantly telling her husband about it :p

She also thinks stock piling is funny...........until she had run out of something and i gave her one :rotfl:........think she is coming round to the idea now ;) i've always been known as a bargain hunter but they think i have some sort of OCD now :p:rotfl: ah well, i shall have the last laugh :rotfl:

Yes DH didn't realise until he brought home the car that it was in fact a 2.5L engine. So if we stick a tenner in well that will see maybe 3 tesco runs and that will be it :eek::eek: For trips to DS1 school it probably costs us around £25-30. It runs much more economically on the motorway so we can get 415 miles out of £90 (dunno if that is good though or not...) but round town it eats it up like there is no tomorrow :(! stupid gas guzzling cars!

  • Definitely! That's exactly what i thought, although funny enough the kids have watched loads of stuff on it lol!

    Well today I have:
    • mopped/hoovered kitchen
    • cleaned front porch (clutters up with everyone's shoes, coats, toys etc etc hate this job!)
    • done one wash need to do a few more yet.
    • Pulled out dishwasher myself and started unscrewing it all as DH () was too busy:mad: (is too lazy) but then as he was there he started to help me anyway ;) and we ended up cleaning one bit we thought was where the blockage was -the salt dispenser bit. have put it all back together and it's on an intensive wash now whilst empty with de-scaler in. Not sure if it will work. If it doesn't then i'm unplugging it and it's going to the tip!!!!!! Not paying for someone to come out and see if they can fix it as it's never washed things perfectly and was given to us, so no loss to us really. Apart from the fact I now have more work to do in house & also i've just spent around £15 on dishwasher tabs, salt & rinse aid :( but i guess that is minimal and they can be stored till we have enough money to replace it :(
Need to hoover front room yet, and put clothes away & make dinner then empty car out so we have room for ds1 bags tomorrow. Leaving bright and early as i think we need to be there for 10am ish and we have to stop in London first at mums!

Nothing else to report, apart from the fact rosspa turned up and i am truly  at the amount of cardboard & packaging they use to pack things up!!!!!!!! I recycle so not too much of a problem (although i think it is still a waste of energy) but i can just well imagine households that don't recycle that would be i'd say 3 bags of packaging thrown out from one box worth! makes me have second thoughts on whether to continue shopping with them or just go to ald1 who is def cheaper but quality not quite as good

Anyway will try to have a quick catch up now with everyone but need to get off and do some more jobs in a mo lol! My fingers are crossed that my dishwasher is working the next time i log on here !!!!!!!
