  • Have signed up for the net flix free trial, £15 cash back through quidco. It's tracked but not showing the £15 yet. Hoping it will go through :) There is £6.30 owing to me in the next payment run from there will put straight into savings.

I applied for an account with jessops for their free £5 offer on cards. I got one anniversary one for DH & I (next month) and then i applied with another email and got a valentine's day card for free too :) so no spends on those and one card arrived today and they're excellent value for free lol. I also personalised it so makes it a little more special ;)

I am so bored. I wish the snow would melt, the kids & I would get better and then I could go out :(

  • Hee Hee yes I live in a constant whirlwind of madness !

I bet the camera was a lovely surprise for you. Maybe you could stick the old one of ebay and try and sell it for parts ? Mr Pinot bought me a camera years go which I loved but it got broken at a party, I was so upset as although it had been upgraded by the manufacturer to a bigger and better camera, I loved my old one. Mr Pinot now hunts them down for me on ebay and buys them for me each time the last one has given up the ghost. He moans so much as he would rather I had a shiny new camera, as I do take loads of photos, but I love my old Lumix !

Sorry you and the children are still feeling poorly, I feel like Ive had a cold since about October, it just won't go away. Hopefully you will all be fit and healthy for half term and seeing DS again. It would be lovely if he got into the band wouldn't it ? I'm sure it would do wonders for his confidence :)

  • I am getting a very weird feeling that I am having two conversations with you at once, one on my diary and one on yours !! Now if we were real friends instead of virtual ones then we couldn't do that !! something to be said for cyber friendships then !! :rotfl:

  • afternoon everyone :)

    Spendy day today:

    • £76.06 filling up petrol tank for Friday :) (Got £6.10 off with 10p off a litre voucher :T)
    • £15 on grocery
    • £1.71 new shower curtain
    • £18 on kids activities :eek::o
    • £3 on tissues (kleenex) :o
    • £5 on a box of chocolates (for a gift)
    • £1 on a thank you card
    • £2 on a birthday cake for a friend tomorrow
Also need another present that i remembered about 10 mins after i got home *doh* although i might just not bother and get her a card out of my stocks lol. I've bought her a birthday cake...although she always buys me something ummmmm...will think about it. could always take a gift voucher from my pile and give that instead :)

Spent way too much but felt kids needed something to keep them amused with all this cold weather, plus they are ill so can't go out too much. Bought them paints, brushes, play doh, and some other little bits and pieces like a doctor's kit & magic drawing board thing (can't quite believe how much it came to though ). Kids are happy though so it's worth it :)

need to go put some spices & bits on chicken in a mo so it has time to marinade. need to do ds1 room at some point too. DH is home but he's been out at work all day every day since coming back :( aall this for a stupid promotion :( he's not happy either and wants to transfer to Wiltshire i think...we'll see...he goes through phases like this (remember the Germany one)

Right best get off here and do some work!

  • As long as the kids are happy thats the main thing ! Have you every been brave enough to make the play doh ? I used to with the girls and although messy we had great fun and it didnt dry out as quickly as the shop bought stuff either.:D

Cant blame you for being fed up that DH is home but not with you and is back working again. I used to feel like that with Mr Pinot, although when he was in the Forces he actually rarely was posted away, it was after he left that all the travelling began.:( One of the reason why we set our own business was that he would be away for months at a time, but the day after he landed would be back at work, at least now he can take a couple of days off so we can get used to having him around again. He was posted to Wiltshire many moons ago, lovely part of the country !

  • he's also got a carp job at the mo meaning he drives the boss around. So is out at 7 ish back for lunch (10 mins today) and then back home for the night 7 ish again :( so the days are too long. I've got the right hump with it lol and if any of my mates moan on fb about their men being away for a 'normal' days work i get a right mood on :rotfl:

I hear the married quarters in Wiltshire are falling to pieces and the middle of nowhere so not really looking forward to it....but like i said he changes his mind like the wind so we'll see.

I've never made play doh before and keep meaning too.......will have to have a google of instructions for it! so expensive in shops!!!

  • ooh I know that feeling well. I have no sympathy when friends moan about their Dh's long days !Mr P's average at 16 hours from leaving home to returning. He had a conversation with someone the other day who has had to start a new job and would now be out of the house for 9 hours tops, the guy had only been there 3 weeks and had already handed his notice in becasue he couldnt stickit and said he never saw the family ! I have to really bite my tongue some days and smile very sweetly !!:D

I am sure I have a play doh recipe somewhere, but I'm sure you will easily find one if you google !
