  • Morning all

Bills have gone out of the bank. £1004/6000 paid off so far this year :)

£50 added to 'holiday fund' which i think i am going to now rename to slush fund (seeing as though our car has swallowed up the emergency allocated so far this year!) So we have £550 in the new slush fund :) No holidays this year :( unless we win lots of money lol

I feel rough rough rough today :( headache, sore throat, achy blah blah grrrrrrrrrrr i haven't ever got time to be ill so it better go away!

My new table cloth temporarily cheered me up till ds 2 spilt apple juice all over it! Luckily it's wipe clean...i need to go to ald* today but really not wanting to. Perhaps i'll feel better after my tea!

  • Afternoon!

    Still got horrid cold :(

I've been out to Ald* though before coupons run out ....got a whole trolley full of stuff & spent £55 (will check exact amount before adding to budget) & then my te$co delivery turned up..........I had about 6 bags of stuff and it came to £95....there is something wrong with this picture!! I ordered £12 worth of marg :p cos it was bogof. Also ordered 4kg of spaghetti for £4 & £4 of rice lol. Suppose we won't starve if we're broke by mid month at least :D

DH is on his way home soon *yay* won't be back till early hours though so i'm just going to go to bed as usual rather than wait up for him. His steak arrived  the size of it for the price of it reminded me why i never buy it  !!!!! Never mind cheaper than a meal out i guess!

Right off to finish the Jacket potatoes and get an early night in ...hope everyone is well :)

  • morning all :)

DH got home at silly o'clock last night....has already done 3 washes & used my tumble drier for the first time in a month :rolls eyes: He also touched my 'stock' of washing gel instead of using the powder that was already out :grr: he has also left about 6 heavy bags right in the way of my back door so i can't get out! Has messed my tidy house up and kept me awake all night whilst he was waiting for work trucks to arrive in camp. :sigh:

It is good to have him back still :) and the kids have missed him so much, they wouldn't leave him alone this morning! He's already gone out to work though so they are pretty peeved thinking that he won't come back again!

I'm debating whether to go out for breakfast with one friend or whether to go to another's house (the one that has spent the last god knows how long ignoring me for her new friends) or just stay in!!!

Have steak, onion rings, chips & corn on cob for dinner :D (i know thinking about dinner at 8am....been a long day already though lol)

I've received an email from my meditation teacher asking for what i can afford for the reiki course. I will transfer some money from rent account across to pay for it all and hope DH gets his pay rise in the next few months!!!

Glad OH is home although by the sounds of it, it will take a few days to get used to him being there again. My best friend has OH in army and always takes a few days / weeks to get back into 'normal' day to day living when he gets home.

Dinner sounds nice - not sure what were having yet best go look in the freezer, but need something fairly easy as its club tonight so dont get home til late.

Anyway i have rambled on too much again - enjoy OH and your meal :)

  • Morning :)

Well after catching up on dh's washing i've had to buy stock back for more washing powder & conditioner! Good job i had some stock of it lol

Dinner was lovely and DH enjoyed his £3.99 bottle of red from ald* too ;)

I've had a phone call from the letting agents, they are sending the money to me by the end of the week to cover the last tenants trashing my house....well £207 anyway  never mind the other £800+ i paid!

That's good news means i won't be so far over budget this month then :D

Feeling exhausted today. DH hasn't had 5 mins at home since being back :( got home last night from work at 8pm nearly. He'd left at 7am :( he's out again now and probably in trouble for over-sleeping

I even forgot to put bin bags out this morning (oops)!

ANyway will check banks now and be back later :)

  • Morning :j

Have been through my spreadsheets this morning with receipts and made a few more columns so I could break down some spends.

So for Jan I was in budget on:
    • Grocery Budget- 205.77/250
    • Petrol Budget: 110/150
    • eating out: 5/20
    • Clothes: 3/30
    • pocket money: 100/100
    • entertainment: 0/60
    • :D

And I was over budget for :
    • Gifts for christmas/Birthdays: 136/65 (this will even out though)
    • appliances for the home/replacing broken bits etc: 47/25
    • house improvements 242/0
    • phone bill 31/25
    • second purse/stockpiling 58/40
    • car repairs: 518/25
    • kids clothes: 54/30
    • mobile top ups 50/45

£159.23 saved by being in budget :)
    £811.00 overspend :(:(:(

so this means I was £651.77 out on budget for the month!!!!!!!! :(

    Better do better this month!!!!

I think when DH gets his back pay owed he will have to just give it to me so i can top up funds that are owed now due to us dipping into them last month! So no f&f settlements which will put out DFD back to 2014 again :( but it will mean we aren't totally screwed for the rest of the year

My last meditation session later, and dh is off to watch rugby (with 2 kids in tow ;)) at a friends house! So NSD here. Had some silly spends yesterday cos DH was craving everything in sight to eat  But have added those to grocery budget! He's lost 2 stone in weight though so i'll let him off this time ;)
