  • Afternoon

DD didn't go to nursery today ... If i am totally honest i just couldn't be bothered. The two children between them had me up all night moaning and crying. I got around 4 hours broken sleep and have no energy whatsoever *yawn* :coffee:

I've spent the morning watching films & t.v & completing surveys. The postman also brought me 2 £10 vouchers in the post, one for m&s and one for love2shop i think :jso both have gone in my envelope & i think i may use the m&s one for dad's birthday next week, that way i won't have any spends on postage and i can just pop it inside his card (i still have stamps from xmas :j)

I'm debating whether or not to get ds1 next week. I desperately want to get him but at the same time we've spent so much this month i just can't justify the spends for 24 hours.......12 of which he will probably be asleep :o i will ponder on it some more. and if he called i could actually ask him! but i think his school have told him to not ring home (this usually helps with beating homesickness, keeping them busy elsewhere) but i do actually want to talk to him!

£7.50 has been credited to my amazon account for a returned item. I've spent £2.81 on a book :o still money neutral lol.

Counting today as a NSD (after all the book was free )

Not sure what i'm doing for dinner. Back in the day, this is a prime example of a take away day. Kids have me up all night, i'm exhausted and can't move to do anything- except ring pizza hut :rotfl: ..........thinking egg, ham & chips. Quick n easy. Then we're all going to bed early!!!

I know, after i had my lbm i avoided town altogether i didn't go for 3 months at the beginning. And when i went near the supermarkets i had a list, got what was on the list and left. And was quick :rotfl: just incase i was tempted! You have to wean yourself off these bad habits i suppose, and at the mo her hubby is away with mine, her daughter is at school all day. She can't work because of DD (& DH being away loads) so she goes to town a lot....purely out of boredom! I didn't used to do it as much, but i am just as guilty, i would drive to dunelm, or asda home, or somewhere else and waste money on 'pretty things' that i didn't need or in most cases want for very long :o so glad i have *mostly* changed my ways. Of course we're all capable of falling off the wagon :p (as my diary will show you :rotfl:)

I wonder if she went today instead! The thing is it's not her money. She ran out of money and has had a loan from our welfare which needs to come out of next payday, meaning next month will be short....ummm, yep she def needs a LBM :exclamati a big flashy one like i had :rotfl::rotfl:

  • Ok well I haven't achieved much today, but sometimes your body needs a rest....so my sky+ planner is looking a little lighter anyway ;)

Have decorated Grandad's birthday card with the kids, and put in a voucher with a little note saying sorry i couldn't afford to take him to the ritz, a dinner for 2, courteousy of the m&s voucher would have to do :p

I've tidied up a little, and am going to hoover once the kids finish watching the gruffalo for the 100th time! Then we are all going to be in bed by 7pm! I'm exhausted still and can only imagine what ds1 is going through with hardly any sleep for 6 weeks at a time when he is at school.! I googled sleep deprivation side effects, and depression, anger & avoiding friends were in there ........these are his main traits at the moment. So i'm hoping if we can crack the sleep issue (either by bringing him home or leaving him there) we may have a good result!

My bank has £7 in it  £46 going in on monday, £20 going out on monday (D.D) so will have £33 which isn't enough for a whole tank of petrol, dinner out & tunnel fares...so I am thinking no to picking up ds1 but i really want to go. It's a matter of choosing heart or head here......and i'm still thinking on it (i'm so indecisive)!

Tomorrow i may go to the zoo if i have had a good night sleep. Will bring pack lunch so no spend day again apart from petrol which is already in the tank (it's only a 10 min drive from us) ...have text a friend see if she wants to go or whether she has in fact caved into town and new boots.......that will mean a no as she doesn't like to go out without money on her......me on the other hand will be leaving my purse at home if i do go lol!

    dfw :D

  • Your post from yesterday has really made me giggle, that you unsubscribed from your own diary ! Sounds liek somethign I would do, then forget what I had called it and have to start all over again !

How was the Fruit and Jelly flan after all ? My DD2 loves jelly, the other one hates it though !

Sorry you had such a nightmare sleep, I ve had a lazy afternoon today and felling the same as you, a takeaway would be perfect tongiht, but I musnt allow myself to sucumb!

Sounds as though you are really struggling with not speaking to DS1, are you allowed to call the school and ask them if its ok to speak to him, or do you need to wait for him to call you ?

Well done with the vouchers, I'm getting nowhere fast with the survey, partly becasue if they are long winded ones I tend to wander off and do something else halfway through or they just screen me out ! Do you fancy doing mine for me ?!!!

Hope you get some sleep tonight.

  • Sorry to hear about your lack of sleep. I know the feeling with the cat waking me up every night. It's nearly as bed as when our children were baby's. :(

I've never subscribed to my diary, never really thought about it. I go to user CP, click on profile and then statistics tab and then find all posts started by myself. :)
I think I will subscribe to my diary and then I can receive a daily email to see who has commented about my boring posts. :rotfl:

Trust you are getting some sleep as I write this.
Hope you're able to decide about DS1 and that DH is okay. :)

  • :wave:Afternoon to everyone!

Have spent the morning/ afternoon at the zoo which was free, then we popped to ald* on the way home rather than go out of my way on monday :) so saved some petrol there and got what i needed to hopefully last the week. Needed nappies though so it came in over £20 :(....£22.47 altogether. I borrowed the money from my friend who came to the zoo with me :) so will pay her back monday from the CHB. She seemed to like it in there too, so i've offered to take her when i go :money:

Sweet & sour pork with rice tonight - if i can be bothered to get back up and make it lol! I went to bed nice and early so i slept soundly from 8-11 then ds2 was up with his usual crying (teething) from 11-5...he always then sleeps from 5-7 for some odd reason without waking. Probably because he knows his sister will come in and take over from him :rotfl:

Meals for next week from the freezer & cupboards & what i bought today:

    Stew
    Spag Bol
Jacket Potatoes with prawns & salad
    Curry
    Sausage & mash
    Chilli con carne
    Soup/something else from cupboard lol

I tried to tell ds1 i couldn't come next week, that went down like a lead balloon :doh:and the response i got was 'well good i guess, cos if you take me home i am NOT coming back' hmmmmmmmmmmmm

So jobs for next week, talk to welfare see if there is anyway i can get him out of school early and not have to pay the entire term. Get in contact with the council and get ds1 a place somewhere. Ummm and have a re-think about budget when we have slightly more money. I'm thinking i won't tell cccs :o and instead will use it to get my savings back up for emergency fund & perhaps buy some bits for the house that are broke, i.e a new microwave :rotfl: Once he comes home there will be an extra £160 in the budget a month. Plus £70 for petrol taken off  I know i will still have to put some back to ds1 for rugby & music lessons and a new uniform but hoping we still have something left :)

off to do dinner, i'll be back later to catch up on diaries :)

  • well i don't hear from ds1 in days then he calls when upset AGAIN .... i've truly had enough. I've sent his school an email to let them know he is leaving in July and one to his music teacher to cancel percussion lessons. So save a bit of money there i suppose. I can't get any sense out of the boy and i'm stressed just trying to tbh. i've now given myself IBS for the evening :( should never have an emotional phone call whilst eating dinner, lesson learned!

Put the heating on, a film on & blankets on kids and i'm going to catch up on diaries whilst they watch knomeo & juliet!

Hi there at least he has made the decission. You can now move on and look forward to him beig home and the new school year. I realise its is a log time for you both to get through but there is a date you can look forward to now. Break it down into little bits - til half term, til easter etc and i am sure you will both get through it fine. I agree with using the extra money to build up emergency funds again before telling dmp. You need that security there plus you have raised it not so long ago quite a lot with the moey from rent and its not long to go before your debts will disapear. When you have your emergency funds back then you can reassess.

I hope little ones give you a good nights sleep tonight :)
