I really do feel for you, my eldest used to get up in the morning and spend ages wandering around the house looking for him ! I can remember finding her in the wardrobe one day and when I asked her what she was doing, she replied that she was just having a quick look for Daddy ! Never did get to the bottom of why he could have been hiding out in the wardrobe !! Am I really that bad that he needed to squish in there to get away from me ?:rotfl:
Oh dear, it's been 2 hours and we've had tears and tantrums already! I told DD off for smacking DS and she started crying for daddy because daddy would be on her side! Hmmmmmmmm! Lol @ your eldest looking in the wardrobeBy 'eck dfw you've been busy. Your car bill was truly astonishing but at least it is out of the way for another year.
I'm still feeling a bit tender about the whole 'car' subjecteverytime i look at my statement online i nearly faint :rotfl: i can't wait until next month now so i won't see it. It can be 'archived' and forgotten about

Also sorry to hear DH is off for a while. It obviously puts extra pressure on you.
Glad to hear about Rosspa. I Googled them and their prices look cheap. We might give this a go at some stage.:)
Hope your week-end is going well at the moment.
Take care.
Thank you BonningtonHe's gone for 1 month so not as bad as a tour which is nearly 7 months but still long enough
i just wish we weren't so hard up for money as i'd put ds2 in a creche or nursery for a few hours a week just to keep me sane
no such luck though :rotfl:
Rosspa were definitely good! i recommend highly :j! i will def be going back again! i hope your dw is feeling better now xxMORTGAGE BALANCE when we moved Aug 2024, £120,000. January 1st £118,267.06. :j My energy appears to have returned for now at least :j
So today i have:- dropped dh off at work for his course (booooo
)
- scrubbed all the marks off the downstairs carpet (hands now falling to pieces from bleach
I must find my yellow gloves!)
- hoovered downstairs- including pulling furniture out and doing behind it
- hoovered stairs & upstairs :T
- put kids clothes away (this is a mission in itself )
- Put my clothes away
- Done 2 washes
- 1 lot of washing up
- 1 dishwasher load
- cleaned out car
- tidied toys into correct boxes (think i'm a slight OCD :rotfl:)
- got mince out to make a cottage pie & some spag bol with it for the week.
- made shopping list for tomorrow!
- STILL NOT FOUND MY LOG ON CARD FOR MY BANK  SO DID ALL THE ABOVE FOR NOTHING!!!!!! :rotfl:
I found 2 old phones! One didn't work and the other didn't either until I plugged it into a different socket (????) :T so is working now! one of ds1 old cast offs! AND i am a bad mummy i read all his texts before deleting them
:o seems he is having girl trouble. Now ordinarily i would send DH off to deal with this but he's useless at giving advice :wall: so it's left to me again!
So what do i say. He has been texting all sorts of girls by the looks of it (tart!) and asking them all out (as i guess only a 12 year old could do huh) and they've all said nohe's a good looking lad but quite serious & sensitive so i dunno what to say to make him feel better?! He kept texting them until they said NOOOOOO *oops* How do i say to my own son- firstly i read your texts, secondly play it a little cooler and they will be more interested- hmmmmmm answers on a postcard (or here) please
Another bit of good news, i was desperate to do the reiki level 1 course but with only £10 saved i wasn't going to make the march onebut my lovely meditation teacher said i could do it and pay her as and when i could :):T I was so happy i nearly cried (sensitive to a fault :rotfl:) so now i have to get the money together so i dno't actually get into debt with her :rotfl:!!! But very happy i can go :j

Hi
I read through your diary last week and have subscribed, sorry to hear your husband has gone away again for a month, it must be hard having two little ones to look after and never getting time to yourself while your husband is away. I have three girls age 7, 6 and 3 and am not sure how I would cope if their dad was away for long periods of time (the eldest two argue all the time).
My 3 year old goes to Nursery in the afternoon and I do enjoy the 3 hours to myself each week day to get on and do things and just relax a bit, am looking forward to September when they will all be at full time school. Luckily my daughter goes to the Nursery at the school and will automatically get a place at the school because her sisters are there.
It is a free listing weekend on Ebay this weekend so I'm currently getting lots listed as I'm badly in need of some cash, so am listing anything I can find, I've started listing earlier in the day than normal so I can get as much listed as possible.
Hope the next month goes quickly for you.

Hello TMD  thanks for posting! I'm getting to be an old hand at going it alone (unfortunately) and i actually find he messes up my routine if he is here under my feet, but it doesn't mean to say i don't miss him. Esp in the evenings & weekends when kids are either in bed or friends have their hubby's home so i'm kinda left on my todd! this time i know a few wives in the same boat though so hopefully *fingers x'd* it will go quickly!
Do you have a diary? if so i will pop over....
As for Ebay if you've read enough of my diary you'll know i hate it with a passion :rotfl: although i will still use it when i have stuff to sell.....atm dare I say it my house is looking particularly uncluttered & so nothing to ebay

It is good that you have other women who are in the same position.
Ebay can be a pain, I am self employed and sell on Ebay (have a Business account) you can get difficult people sometimes but luckily I've not had many. I prefer stuff that I can post rather than people collect. I have some toys on my Private account that are Collection so would arrange for collection in the evening when OH is around so he can deal with them, I'm not a very confident person.
Ebay is my only income though so I have to do it and I do enjoy it but things are slow at the moment and Ebay is not the same as it used to be when I first started using in back in 2002, so many changes all the time and never any for the better.
We have too many clothes around that clutter our house, OH has more clothes than the kids and myself put together, I hardly have any clothes yet he's always buying jumpers, jackets, shorts etc, most of them he hardly ever wears.
Hope your first day on your own goes OK.Sealed Pot Challenge #0160 -
I really, seriously need to get a life away from :money: -:D
But have been worrying about 'borrowing' money from my 'rent fund' which was short anyway  thanks to the letting agents......whom i have rung, emailed several times and still not got hold of!
So to make my budget work i need £480 x 4 months left in my savings = £1920!
I have in there £1644  a shortfall of £276.......which broken down is a shortage of £69 each month..
The car fund is now short of £225 so i'm praying the money from letting agent will come through soon so i can replace that or else i won't have enough for the car insurance due in july
So £501 needs to be 'found' from somewhere ..ummmmmm...any ideas :rotfl:
so ideas to find £125.25 each month, for the next four months .....- don't buy any clothes = saving= £50 per month
- No haircuts for anyone =saving = £10 per month
- ummmmmmm and i don't really know where else i can cut from, food is already tight on £250 a month - petrol i will need as need to make several 300 mile round trips over next few months - pocket money is only thing that keeps us from splurging.....urgh! I best get back on phone me thinks and sort out my monies owing to me
still i have managed to save £60 a month if i don't get clothes or haircuts for anyone.......but kids grow so quick!
......argh this will teach me for being so organised with the budget in December won't it :rotfl:MORTGAGE BALANCE when we moved Aug 2024, £120,000. January 1st £118,267.06. Thank you tmdand i totally agree about ebay changing. I used to have a business account with my sister way back around 10 years ago and it was great. I hardly ever had a problem with selling, customers, feedback etc etc and then we stopped using it and i only started selling again when i had my lbm.....and oh boy is it different! One example. I sold a Jacket from Gap that ds had grown out of. In the listing it said 'USED raincoat/jacket from gap' the buyer left me negative feedback stating ' nice jacket but it had clearly been WORN' what the heck?! grrr! I replied to it but it put my % down and i was peeved to say the least! Then it happened 2 more times for similar silly things! -oh and i wouldn't mind the jacket had only been worn 3 times lol so was practically brand new :rotfl: cheapskates!!!

I was reading you rpost about the children having tantrums.
My two are now teenagers and keep talking horrible to each other. They do hardly anything around the house. When you ask them to do something they ignore you, unless you keep going on or shout at them I don't like the second option.
DS spends all his time on the ipad or laptop so I think these will have to be taken away for a while. Sometimes he is putting videos on Youtube to make money. DD plays games and at other times is doing homework..
Plus, I normally end up tidying their rooms.
I remember when my two were at the ages of yours at now. Everything seemed so much easier.
Life just seems one big pressure right now. There seems to be no let up. I just feel I need a break and feel quite tearful. OK, who says men don't cry, they are wrong.
I hope you have a good week.June 16 Mortgage Amount £82,896.15

And even my hubby has had a good cry when nothing else helps! And usually that will work a wonder , sometimes we just need to let it all out. And realise we can't control everything, we have just let somethings be and go with the flow, no matter how much we want to fight it. I hope tomorrow is a better day for you (and DW's news is positive...i'll be thinking of you both!) :A
