Well today was a NSD :j
i've spent the afternoon emailing Grammar schools in the area in the hope they have a space and are willing to take in ds1i don't hold out much hope tbh as they are extremely popular and they probably still have waiting lists a year after initial intake. But need to try, ds is really troubling me with his mood swings. He's picked up mood a bit since i said i'd sent some emails, even though i can't promise they will have anything. I really don't want him going to the local comp it closes 2013 and not sure where he will be sent after that
:( so will have to try and keep him where he is or pray for a space at grammar! fingers crossed all :j

I hope you get something sorted out for DS1.
I like your goals. I haven't read them fully yet. Too many other posts to catch up on.
I might pinch some of them, or tweak them.
I need to get back on the straight and narrow with MSE.
Thanks for all your posts. Yes, I do read them to the end every day. Usually at about 5:45am on a working day on my phone, while having breakfast. :rotfl:
I hope you enjoy your week and get some decent night's sleep.June 16 Mortgage Amount £82,896.15

morning everyone :j
Well i'm in London this morning at mum's house, ds1 has to go back to school later and i'm quite worried about the weather  2 fences, 1 gate & lots of rubbish have been blown/ knocked over in the night and the wind isn't letting up! I can literally see smaller trees bending nearly in half  so not looking forward to dropping son off in that
Have paid school bill :eek: not impressed by the 'extras' this term.....i.e broken ceiling light divided up by naughty boys for playing rugby in dormitory. Broken head board for jumping between beds after lights out, etc etc :wall:so the extras have virtually wiped out Jan's savings towards next term :think: am going to have to think up ingenious ways of finding extra money this month me thinks !!!
I've also only got less than a hundred quid left in bank (so with child benefit each week this is around £250 to last till the end of the month :doh:really not doing well sticking to the budget am I!!!!!!
Will look at spreadsheet when i have time, see how much i have spent on christmas 2012 so far and take the money out of next month's gift budget accordingly to top up this month. (thank god for the account with rent money in) I've bought all my xmas cards, wrapping, and most kids presents now for family so i have probably spent over Jan's budget ...! But on the upside i've got some of it out of the way!
Awaiting emails today from everyone! Well ok, not everyone, but someone i'm expecting a refund from, the letting agency whom i've sent several letters with a ! in the subject line  ummm and lots of others, can't think who!
I had the strangest dreams last night one about eldest son coming to live with mum and attending school here and helping her around the house (she lives alone now and is NOT old & decripit :rotfl:but in my dream she was really old and could barely walk )
And the second one was that i had a call from my letting agent and my tenants had been killed in a road accident  ...........not nice dreams at all  was glad to be woken up early by kids for once :rotfl:
Ds2 is happily forging ahead potty training himself - he gets up in the morning, has a number 2 (hope you aren't eating :rotfl:) takes his nappy off half way through, cos that is when he remembers to do so *of course* therefore getting it all over himself, toilet, nappy & floor. Then he tries to flush nappy down loo, causing floods, followed by a WHOLE roll of toilet paper:wall::wall: give me strength!! Ugh! Thing is i ask him every 5 mins if he needs the toilet, 'no' is the answer, he waits until i am busy and not noticing here he is so he slips away..................what do you do with children such as this :wall::doh::silenced:_pale_

ok have started a new page on my spreadsheet for spends that aren't in the budget- i'm going to list them here too so people can tell me off as appropriate and perhaps scare me into not doing it over and over and over again:wall:

saucepans 80
DS1 new clothes / hubby also -(total budget £50 so over by £26) 76 26

Morning all, i'm exhausted, was in car driving for 5 or 6 hours yesterday with at least 2 kids at all times= not fun! Got home around 10 pm in time to watch Eastenders lol
Today i've cleaned out car, dropped dd off at nursery, am awaiting two deliveries one from rosspa & the other from approved foods :j i'm oddly excited about it :rotfl:
I am waiting for dh to get home so he can follow me to garage so we can drop car off for service! Good news on the car (i think) ...... i went to see my lovely grandad yesterday and he checked the power steering fluid and it was low so we went and bought some £13.99...and the noise went away :j:j car fixed for less than £15 :j:j:beer: still needs the service thoughso still a couple of hundred quid!
Have received some kids clothes from adams for xmas pressies they look really nice so happy with that! half price & cashback :money:
Anyhow i best run need to check bank, call dh and see where he is at this rate the car will be in too late to be looked at :mad:MORTGAGE BALANCE when we moved Aug 2024, £120,000. Well car dropped off
we asked how much it would be for service, and they nearly had to pick me up off the floor :eek: £300+ for basic bl00dy service. WTH!
That will be the last Volvo see of meI shall find a cheaper alternative next time! Who cares about a little stamp in a book on an 11 year old car huh!
Missed a deliveryam hoping it wasn't the food! Other delivery i know is due around 3.30- right when i have a dr's appointment! so hoping dh doesn't get called out to work in that hour :rotfl:
Need to find £300 now for the service............ hoping there will nearly be enough in the 'car' fund then i can top it up as months go on for the insurance as it's not due till July! I didn't budget for a £300 service though  i thought it would be £200 tops - just goes to show how much i know!
DS2 doing well with potty training :T DD however had an accident at nursery so i had to take her home wet & upset! oh dear, one step forward, two steps back!
