I loved your Good Things List, its great and I think I may have to steal that myself ! I definately need to write myself a list of must dos as well, I have so much I want to do but keep thinking about it rather than getting around to doing it !
Sympathize with you fully on the Jeans front with growing children ! My DS2 has got so tall recently, her sister who is three years older isnt amused as they are nearly the same height ! I bought her two pairs of jeans a few weeks ago and when she put a pair on yesterday they are too short already ! She loves these Jeans as apparently they are really comfy, managed to find them in the New Look sale for £6 with cashback at Quidco, so I brought her two pairs to be on the safe side !
Sorry to hear your hubby will be going away again soon. Im hoping it wont be for too long............ I'm sure we can all keep you company though !:DLBM July 2011 - Finally took control Nov 2011 DFD Sometime in the distant future !

LOL Pinot......I am actually counting down till ds1 is bk to school, dd is back to nursery & hubby is away :rotfl::rotfl: I like me own company a little too much
And i've no idea where he is going either :rotfl: i'm such a good wifey
Well no visit to nan's house today. Too expensiveinstead on monday i am visiting dh's mums then driving to my mum's in evening (only 20 min away) and staying the night there and the next day, then dropping ds1 at school tues evening so we'll have saved about 3/4 of a tank of petrol squeezing everyone in on those few days :money:
I managed to order from approved foods at last :j spent £87.65 on tonnes of stuff :T if you haven't already checked them out I suggest you take a look :j just google 'approved food' i got free delivery too so very happy! i have enough gravy, shampoo, conditioner, pasta & spices to last a year :rotfl:
I also popped to Ald* as this month i have set myself a lil challenge....i'd like to do a whole month shop without visiting te$co, a$da or Mr S! And i want to see how much more money it is/ or less, and what the quality is like compared to the big 3! So in ald* i got some whoopsie chicken & bread & other essentials and spent £57.56 :T
We've got a fair bit of meat left so am planning on using that all up and I will only buy top ups / sauces etc to go with it all.
Also have just ordered another £10 voucher from a survey site :j so have two in the post on their way to me now...
BAD NEWS: Have booked car in for service & to check out the awful clunking noise think it is going to cost around £400+ for all this

wow i am exhausted today. I can not believe at 3 yrs old and 2 yrs old my children do NOT know how to sleep through a whole night properly
:(:(
DS2 got himself up at 2 am. took his nappy off and went to the toilet. Then decided he needed new clothes so switched light on, woke up his sister & me with all the noise so had to:( get them both back to bed! grr! DH is snappy, grumpy, moody as he can't cope with broken sleep. If i say i'm tired, he is more tired, or i am a hypochondriac. Not a good day. I wanna go to bed now. Good job i hadn't planned on staying up late for new year really!
Last night i opened a new saving account. NOT with the hsbc. This way the money won't be so readily available to transfer (this is the plan anyhow) so I won't touch it as much?! it may work, we'll see! I want to put rent money in there and any emergency funds. Think i will do the transferring after the car has been done. If there is anything left to transfer that is!
Tree is coming down at some point today. Just need some energy / sleep.
Placed an order with rosspa (think thats the name ) yesterday also. Am determined not to go to tesco just for one month think it will help break the cycle of being drawn into their 'offers' and bargains that i can't seem to resist
Received some xmas gifts for '12 already so need to find somewhere to hide it all now
too tired to think straight really....hope everyone has a fab new years eve whatever you have planned x
Got my juice/detox book through will have a look later and will be making recipes when everyone is bk at work/school.MORTGAGE BALANCE when we moved Aug 2024, £120,000. January 1st £118,267.06. Hi DFW321
Your DS2 sounds like a clever lad, just a shame that he had to demonstrate his toilet/dressing abilities at 2 in the morning. I hope you can get a bit of relaxation in today though...maybe an afternoon film and a snooze on the sofa.
I just had a look at the rosspa website, do you find them any good? I haven't seen these before.

LOL i'm not sure how us parents do it either
Rosspa looked good! I came across it on google so thought i would get the bits there i couldn't get on approved foods, have spent around 40 quid on there but again lots of it is to stockpile, so although i have spent a lot this month already i have toiletries, cleaning stuff etc for the whole year now :j
I also did a search on here before confirming my order and the reviews seem to be pretty good so i went aheadit comes next wednesday so i can let you know then if it's any good lol
And ds2.........i've decided he can do a detox with me he is a chocolate monster and his little body goes mental with a bit of sugar in it, so although we ration it to him, he has ingenious ways of finding it around the house *doh* so he gets plenty every day whether we like it or not,, then he doesn't sleep properly! so mission is to get rid of all rubbish foods and start afresh for 2012 and some nice healthy foods :j:TMORTGAGE BALANCE when we moved Aug 2024, £120,000. Oooh I dont envy you the broken sleep, my youngest didnt sleep through the night until she was 5 and even now at nearly 11 we often hear her pottering around in the middle of the night !
Know what you mean about liking your own company, Mr Pinot is often away and intially I quite like it, but then after a few weeks / months I start to get fed up and envious of everyone who has their hubby around. No pleasing me really ! Must admit though I don't miss having his big old desert boots blocking the back door waiting for me to trip over them !
Anyway just dropping by quickly to wish you a happy new year !:beer:LBM July 2011 - Finally took control Nov 2011 DFD Sometime in the distant future !

CHAPTER II
-Taking everything I have learned in Chapter I (aka 2011) and tweaking until perfect
HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE
So 2012 has arrived :j
I've already summarised 2011 in the previous 'chapter' :rotfl:
I'd like to set myself some new goals for 2012
Financial
-
Pay off half my debt by christmas 2012
-
Have some sort of emergency fund - with money STILL in there by 2013 :rotfl:
-
To pay for christmas in cash again
-
Stick to budget
-
Stop impulse spending when bored
Health
-
To keep my depression in check. This means going to the dr's for reviews regularly
-
lose some weight, 1 stone would be nice!
-
exercise regularly even if just a walk with the kids. Fresh air always puts me in a better mood!
-
Carry on with my meditation (really makes me calmer i think)
-
Complete a 7 day detox!
Personal Goals
-
To complete my reiki level 1
-
to make sure i see at least one friend a week. I have a habit of locking myself in the house away from everyone
-
Make time to look after myself. Whether it be a nice bath, reading a book, watching my t.v programme in peace
House
-
To finish de-cluttering
-
Do the garage
-
Empty the shed out and get rid of things we don't need/use
-
Apply for larger house (no harm in trying huh)
Family
-
To make sure DS1 is happy, settled and is improving on his mood
-
To get DD into a suitable school for september (where has time gone!)
-
To get DS2 down for a nursery to start in September
-
To make time with hubby. perhaps actually go out together this year for a meal
This will do for nowI hope everyone had a fab night last night, i was asleep by 10pm
dfw xx
