  • :mad::mad: Well I've just had a proper Oh My God :eek::eek::eek::eek: Moment!!!!!!!!!!

    Have just paid £518 for the car to be fixed :mad::mad::mad:

    £320 for a !!!!!!!g service :mad: and £200 for other stuff that needed doing.............AND there is more to be done :eek: the auxillary belt needs changing, a brake disc or something needs changing and some thing on the power steering :(:(:( NOT a happy camper right now!!!!!!!!!!!!1

    Took the money out of the 'rent' account so I am now short for the next few months unless dh gets his owed back pay sometime soon!!!

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    On the plus side i got my Approved Food order and it was fab!!! Like xmas day :rotfl:it was !! 2 huge boxes full of goodies. I have enough gravy, stock cubes, shampoo, conditioner, pasta, poppadums :rotfl: and herbs to last a year!!! And enough peanuts, snacks for kids & a few other treats to last at least 2 months so the order was deinitely worth the £86 quid :T also have lots of little bits in the order for this month :D just awaiting the rosspa delivery now and i should have enough food for a fair bit!!!
    Also towards my goals for the year, i've been to the dr's and reduced my anti depressant dosage. I hate the side effects they give me and would love to be off them completely by the end of the year :)
    Oh no what a nightmare day for you ! Thats the problem with older cars isnt it, but then again when our credit rating is shot to pieces we have bob hope and no hope of getting a newer car !! I had same problem last year with mine, quoted £2500 to fix. We left it sitting in the garage and shopped around for a bit, eventually got recon parts delivered to the garage ,got them to fit it and cost us £500 in the end. Mr Pinot manages to change our brake discs adn easier things now on the cars if he is around to do them and that saves a fair bit of cash. Usually orders them on ebay I think. Is Mr DFW handy with car type problems, or has a friend who is ?
    Glad you have lots of lovely food in the house though thats one consolation at least ! And well done with reducing the anti depressants, I will keep my fingers and toes crossed that you will feel well enough soont to come off of them completely xx
  • Yey ! Well done, I too am impatient, I would rather have the odd £5 here and there than wait ! I'm sure you have posted it on here somewhere, which surveys do you do ? I must get into the habit, I get them coming through everyday but dont get around to doing them. They are sooooo boring !
    Is your delivery coming today ? I havent shopped since before Xmas other than bit of fruit and milk, I'm determined to drag out what we have until next week if we can ! DD2 baked some fairy cakes after school last night , I think she was desperate for some goodies nin the house !
  • my other order arrived :j this one from rosspa! It was packed excellently and i now have several dozen egg carton packing things which i don't know what to do with :eek::rotfl: I thoroughly recommend them :T cheap, deliver to you, and the fresh food was fab! much better quality than te$co.....admittedly i have only ordered- bananas, kiwis, apples that were fresh to see the quality. And i'm not disappointed :T
    We have lots of food in now but hardly any meat :( and with the car clearing out lots of funds we have no money till monday (CHB) so will have to live off mince & pizza till then :o!
    Have been to hairdressers and am back, going again tomorrow to have it cut, dyed & conditioned :Tcan't wait! Only thing is DH doesn't know if he will be off work now :( so i may have to take two toddlers, that is hardly going to be a relaxing 90 mins :(
    But seems as a stay at home mum, i'm not allowed a day off till they no longer need me!!
    Have just signed up to a thingy on a survey site which means i download something onto laptop and it stays there for up to a year. i'll get paid up to £26 i think so not too bad, could be better though;)
  • I would love to be a stay at home mum, I work part time but still get lumbered with all of the domestic chores including DD, there again, I don't think OH could cope if I left her with him :o
    I have never heard of Rosspa, off to google :D
    Just keep swimming!
    And you're right i shouldn't moan, i remember being at work with ds1 and at uni, and looking after the house, and being heavily pregnant :rolls eyes: so i should really remember how hard it was then and stop the moaning :silenced:..........but oh how i love to moan :p:whistle:
    i feel for you though, i will be back at work once kids are at school and i'll be moaning twice as much then no doubt :rotfl:!!
  • Well it's nearly the weekend :j
    Have this morning had my hair cut, washed, conditioned (with posh conditioner that stays in your hair i'll have you know ;)) and dyed! :D feel very nice and relaxed and i didn't have to take kids :j got a friend to collect dd from nursery & dh had ds and he had to go to work 5 mins after he collected me which was cutting it short but all worked out in the end :T
    I've been screened out of nearly every survey today so given up on that today! Need to check bank account as i need some margarine & other lil bits from shops. May just go without until monday though! Would have been a nsd but i tipped the hairdresser £5 :o (bit extravagant really but the groupon deal was such a good price so £30 for everything including tip i thought was good :o)
    DH is off on Sunday for a month or 2 (hummmm i know i should know where my husband is and when he will be home but such is the life of the army, you eventually give up asking :D)
    Will try and catch up on some diaries today have been popping in and out but not had much chance to post yet!
    I spent an hour de-cluttering my kitchen last night :D by de-cluttering i mean i have added a juice machine to the side & emptied a bookshelf of c.d's off and filled it with books instead :D:rotfl: really think i might need some coaching on this 'de-cluttering' lark !!
