Have this morning had my hair cut, washed, conditioned (with posh conditioner that stays in your hair i'll have you know) and dyed!
feel very nice and relaxed and i didn't have to take kids :j got a friend to collect dd from nursery & dh had ds and he had to go to work 5 mins after he collected me which was cutting it short but all worked out in the end :T
I've been screened out of nearly every survey today so given up on that today! Need to check bank account as i need some margarine & other lil bits from shops. May just go without until monday though! Would have been a nsd but i tipped the hairdresser £5(bit extravagant really but the groupon deal was such a good price so £30 for everything including tip i thought was good
)
DH is off on Sunday for a month or 2 (hummmm i know i should know where my husband is and when he will be home but such is the life of the army, you eventually give up asking)
Will try and catch up on some diaries today have been popping in and out but not had much chance to post yet!
I spent an hour de-cluttering my kitchen last nightby de-cluttering i mean i have added a juice machine to the side & emptied a bookshelf of c.d's off and filled it with books instead
:rotfl: really think i might need some coaching on this 'de-cluttering' lark !!
Glad you had a chance to spend a nice relaxing time at the Hairdressers, such a lovely treat. It always always rains after I have had my hair done, so I dont even bother asking them to blow dry it anymore ! I was amazed when I orginally started setting up the DMP that we were allowed money in the budget for haircuts, think the guy at the end of the phone was a bit lost for words at my excitment as I had neglected getting it cut for so long and had been dying it at home, not with the best results !
Sorry to hear hubby is off on Sunday. Sometimes it easier not knowing where they are going, or pretending they are off to some wonderful destination ( Barbados!) for example, then it helps with the worrying ( Not the jealousy though, if you pretend he is in Barbados and you are stuck at home !:rotfl:) Same with the duration. We used to do little sticky charts, put aTinkerbell sticker over the date at the end of each day he had been away ( the girls were much younger then) , but in the end we decided to only do it when there was a week left and start to countdown then. I always find I make myself so busy the time flies by , but by the time he gets home I am so frazzled and exhausted I collapse in a heap. Anyway you are no doubt an old hand at this and I am teaching you to suck eggs !
Anyway wish him well wherever in the world he may be off to.
Have a good weekend

That's a great idea with the calendar & stickers, mine were either too young or too old last time to do things like that so may have to do that this timedd is 3 now and loves stickers lol & ds is 2 and half so he may understand a little more this time. Last time was awful dh went when ds2 had just turned 13 months and dd was 25 months so they just cried and cried when i tried to explain daddy was actually coming back 'eventually' !
I also have a book somewhere -my daddy is going away- or something like that must dig it out!
I have budgeted £10 a month for hair cuts but tbh very rarely use it as i cut everyone's hair and i dh does his own so it was a nice treat to get a salon colour & cut :cool:MORTGAGE BALANCE when we moved Aug 2024, £120,000. Yes thankyou I did, have replied to you now, sort of !
I really do feel for you, my eldest used to get up in the morning and spend ages wandering around the house looking for him ! I can remember finding her in the wardrobe one day and when I asked her what she was doing, she replied that she was just having a quick look for Daddy ! Never did get to the bottom of why he could have been hiding out in the wardrobe !! Am I really that bad that he needed to squish in there to get away from me ?:rotfl:LBM July 2011 - Finally took control Nov 2011 DFD Sometime in the distant future !

Sorry to hear about the cost of your car.
Also sorry to hear DH is off for a while. It obviously puts extra pressure on you.
Glad to hear about Rosspa. I Googled them and their prices look cheap. We might give this a go at some stage.:)
Hope your week-end is going well at the moment.

Now, now DFW!! Cars and phones, hmmm sounds like a recipe for spending more than planned! I'm sure it will even itself out over the year.
Your diary is very positive, so I'm sure this is just a blip for you, and anyway, think of all the money you're going to save over the next few months when you don't need to buy food
Keep it up DFW, you're doing great
