Hi Sim
You have done great and to a certain extent, you've got to expect answers that don't give you an exact response to begin with but it will work out.....You're going to get there!
We're all prone to loneliness, some more than others. That is when you have to reach out, like you have done on this board and taking it that step further with organisations that can provide you with structured support specific to your needs.
Have you spoken with your doctor yet? How did that go? You mentioned on your other thread that was something you were going to do. Perhaps they'll come see you at home if you can't face going out at the moment?0 -
Sim, everyone wants to "hear" you are ok, even if you are "drowning not waving". (Sim's last post on the other thread was before 2am today). Hugs, SatchmoWhat would you get if all you got was what you were thankful for?0

Sim you have friends here even though you are in a dark place. We are thinking of you and hope you are ok. Please let us know.0

Hiya,
You lot are stars.
Your words have brought tears to my eyes,
Thank You so much. I'll post to each of you individually later on when I feel more up to it.
Nipped out earlier this evening, for the first time since last Saturday, and bought some food.
Took the bins out and tided up.
Also called nPower, and they might be able to make an affordable arrangement. Need to call them back in the morning.
Was tempted again by a drink while on the phone to them, but instead paid my TV Licence for the first time in an age,
Paid off my BT arrears too.
Need to eat now. Starting to feel a bit brighter.
Off to watch my favourite living Actor, Robert Downey Jr, in Iron man 2 now
Thank You so much,
Hugs to all,

Sim
Glad to learn that you are OK. Take it one day at a time.If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing0 -
Thank the fcuk for that. I was getting seriously worried there Sim. Withought being too hasty here you sound rather chipper today - and that my friend is the best thing I have heard all day. There is nothing like tidying up to get things under control and as for the bins - well what can I say....LOL. One little step at a time Sim!! Robert Downey was good in Sherlock Holmes as well BTW.....just to go off-topic there for a minute!!!!
And relax.............0 -
Hi Sim
I can see from the green dot that you're currently online. I hope that you're reading the massive messages of support and realising that you have a fantastic support network here on MSE.
As someone who has contributed a lot to DFW (and other forums) and has taken the time to respond to some of my own threads I would like to point you to one statistic that may have escaped you........
In your time on MSE you have received a massive 5,740 thanks from 591 posts. This is a rate of 9.7 people thanking you for each one of your posts.
Even MSE Martin himself :money:only has a 7.88 thanks rating!!
So what should you take away from this? That there are a huge bunch of people on this forum who need you.
Sim - your contributions to this forum are obviously helping people in ways you cannot imagine.
You are going through something that is painful, but you are showing a resilience that displays your true character.
But incredibly, in a situation where many others would have wallowed in self pity, you are sharing your experience to help others.
Sim - The fact that you are willing to go out of your way, and seek to help others says massive amounts about you and makes you a far better person than the majority of people who think nothing of walking past those who need help.

I hate to use phrases like these but in your case I think they are very appropriate:
You are on a road to recovery, but like any road on any journey there are ups and downs. Right now its difficult to see the ups. But they are there. Keep on that road Sim because you are soooooo close to your destination. Your postings here prove that you are. You know where you want to get to, and we're all here to help you achieve it.
Keep battling buddy
