    Hi

Amy - bonus if you get a new dress too, you can never have too many:rotfl:You have done loads this week.

I have sined today after saying I was going to make my own invites we have just ordered our invites & rsvp cards which will work out at £3pp so will be about £75:o We are having personalised passport invites with guests names printed in them & they look wondeful & I just fell in love with them. The rsvp are luggage tags & again are fab. I did look for some cheap ones but they were just not as good, I didn't pick the most expensive ones though as I did see some passport invites with one company that were £6 each so I was good :rotfl:I promise I will try to be more MSE from now on.

aww fawny don't be too hard on yourself. I confess I'm a bit adicited to wedding mags at the mo for inspiration. But have thought about using the glass vases we were given as a engagement present and the ones we used ages ago for one of mum parties tall glass one that will hold single stems (Just have to dig them out!) for table decorations filled with a mix of single stem flowers which hopefully once I work out my color scheme I can grow them. I'm hoping OH can teach me how to make candles for the tables and figures crossed might be able to find me some flat white sheets that I can use as table cloths from the charity shop where he volunteers.

  • Hi everyone

    I'm a Sept 2012 B2B also, we've just set a date for the 1st....eek!!!

Have been engaged since Christmas but it has only just begun to sink in now that we have an actual date...!

We haven't got many things worked out yet, just the venue (Lamport Hall) the theme (Regency), and the budget (8000)

I'm a HUGE Jane Austen fan and love the regency period, it was so elegant and oozed romance :iloveyou:

H2B is a little worried about the theme (thinking it will turn into a costume party) but this will definitely not be the case.

All the details (dress, decs, flowers etc) will be heavily inspired by the regency period, but with a modern twist. I don't like the idea of trying to recreate a wedding from the period. I think he's just worried I'll force him to dress like Mr Darcy! :)

Everyone's plans look amazing by the way, cant wait to hear more!

My wedding is booked for 8th Sept 2012, which is also my 50th birthday !! Better to spend on 1 party instead of 2.

I am a little concerned as i have not progressed as far as many of you.
Church - Booked , deposit paid
    Venue - Booked - Village Hall £8per hr ( 4 - 12 ), £ 60 for the bar, £ 30 fpr the cleaner.
    Photographer - my cousin
Food - hog roast, roast potatos, salads and strawberries and cream dessert. I am friends with the hog man and he is friends with the strawberry grower so fingers crossed will get trade prices
wine - from my company on staff discount and all own labled - thinking photo's of me n H2b as youngsters.
favours - charity donation of £1 per guest H2b's side cancer research ( relative died young from this ) my side heart foundation for my dad RIP

invites - very interested in you all DIYing. any sugestions where to buy the stuff required and a training cd

Dress - maybe my big fat gorgeous wedding, she seems really nice, only downfall is not being able to try it until it arrives.

hello to the new brides!! time to get excited! LOL

i find you go through stages of first planning it all and getting excited about what you can have.....research it for months and then when youve done that it goes quiet for a few months when you realize you cant sort stuff till nearer the time and normal everyday life takes over. Then a few months after that something sparks your memory and you start researching all over again LOL

    its so annoying!! LOL
