Welcome margatehoney! :hello: Wow, you're very organised!! The colour scheme sounds stunning too - very elegant and classic.

Fawny, I definitely would not be afraid to send invites, and speak to people early about your plans; after all, they are happy to book the time off early to organise accommodation and flights etc, so it is not as though you are asking any more of them really. People will understand, as Tracey says, and if it were me I'djust be gettingmore excited about about it all!!

Tracey, how about considering other ways to 'casualise' (I think I just invented a new word :)) the groomsmens' outfits? Converse, although they look ace, might not be theright thing to go for, ifit's not whattheywould normally wear. Can't think of any ideas off thetop of my head, but havea look at offbeatbride.com (I can't have mentioned them for, like, a week!!) andsearch groomsmens' outfits. Or just go for shirt & waistcoat, and drop the jacket and tie, but still have smart shoes.

yeah fiona, i was thinking it didnt seem to be right if its not something they would usually wear as they may feel daft. Offbeatbride is where i spot alot of converse and just instantly fell in love with how casual and fun they all looked LOL (im always on that blog!! blush!)

i thought about dropping the jacket, but thought they may all then just look like waiters...whereas more casual footwear tied in and made them look abit better? o i dont know...think i will have to do more searching! LOL

nuttymummy your thing sounds like an ISA(independant savings account)its basically a savings account that you dont get taxed at the end of the year
if i did put the money in again that i took out it would eat into the years allowance so you should always leave it alone
I am not bossy I just have better ideas:p

Weddings on a Budget on Channel 4
The Wedding Dress Factory Outlet may appear in a new Cutting Edge programme on Channel 4 celebrating Britain’s best bargain hunters! Due to be shown in the autumn, the show will follow various budgeters who will share frugal tips with viewers.

Raw Television are currently looking for contributors who are proud of their money-saving ways, so if that sounds like you then get in touch with the producers by emailing sophie.mohammed@rawtelevision.co.uk or calling Sophie on 020 7017 1642.

A press release from the production company explains:
“At this early stage in the process we’re open to hearing from or about anyone who fits in to the film’s theme of money saving, frugalism, and penny pinching and we are very much looking to celebrate this growing culture and want people who proudly embrace the lifestyle. We are particularly interested in hearing from couples getting married this summer on a tight wedding budget. If you’re clever with your cash or know someone who is then get in touch, we’d love to hear from you…”

Welcome margatehoney!! Impressed with your budget, especially your cake. ;)

Oooh, like the idea of the Amybettb! Looking forward to watching that!:j

On the venue front, my dad and step mum still havent been back in touch to say whether they have been to Dewsbury Golf Club. :( But, its ok as me and OH viewed another venue!!! The Manor Golf Club

We love it, more so than the other, and has really good access. Even has a lawn out the back to use as you wish, OH wants to use it to have games on! Only trouble is, its booked on that date by a ladys golf group....manager is getting back to me to let me know if they will move the date...!!! :T
