  • Ah yes, the wedding nightmare - already had one ofthose! In mine I found myself on mywedding day with nothingready, not even a dress, then suddenly I was attheback of church, which by the way was full of people I don't know, in casual clothes trying to change into some monstrosity of a dress cos that's all that could be found!! Bizarre. They're very common apparently, but I'm hoping I don't get many more

:rotfl:the dreaded wedding nightmares!!! Had a few of those already

Had one similar to you Fiona, nothing ready, no wedding dress, everyone waiting at the church, not wedding car to take me....etc etc....wake up in a cold sweat!! they are awful.

I was up last night until 11.30 on the laptop looking at wedding reception venues!!! Like i have said before, OH is adamant he wants the Golf Club, but with the problem with the access for step bro (only way up and down is for 4 blokes to carry him in his chair) its making me re think, im worried that we have only chosen this place as its the only one we really liked so far....I keep panicking thinking im not going to find a venue I really do like and wont regret using!!! Dont know whats bloody wrong with me!

Loving all the invitation ideas :D

The ring thing I mentioned a few pages back, the bracelet i got for 21st has hardly been worn, and I cant imagine wearing it again in the future, but would be a shame to sell it or weigh it in, itsquite a thick bracelet 18ct, so think it would make a ring without having to use anymore gold....hopefully anyway. I think ill get some prices on that.

Natalie, have your dad and step mum been to visit the golf club yet? Cos if they are happy with it in terms of access, your step bro is happy to be carried upstairs and can get everywhere when he's there etc, then you're fine, as you both like it. If they're not satisfied with it then your H2B will have to understand that it's unsuitable for a member of your family and you will have to find somewhere else because it's not fair for any guest to be excluded from any part of your wedding due to access issues. He can't insist on a venue regardless of that, whatever issues and upset there have been on that side of the family. I personally would say not to stress yourself out with finding another venue until your dad and stepmum have passed their judgment on it on your stepbro's behalf.

Really hope you get it sorted soon, and I'm really sorry that you've been caught in themiddle of it. xx

    Hi Tracey,

Yes checked that site and many others....:wall: Im getting fed up of looking, just want to get somewhere we both like booked and get on with the rest of it ike everyone else :D

Hi Fiona, they said they were going to take him during this week but havent heaerd from them, which is always the case....I will end up having to ring them next week to see how it went, and they will prob have ot gone yet....

Fed up of being int he middle and close to just bu**ering off and getting married in gretna green.

Its harder as my OH, mum and Step dad think i shouldnt not book the place because of one person, esp as my step bro doesnt really get involved, or really have a conversation when we see him, but I think part of that is because he is embarrased at being in a wheelchair and is hard to get a relationship going with him...but im with you on this Fiona, shouldnt exclude one person, i think if was someone on their side of the family their opinion would change... IYKWIM...!!!

    Oh families....whod have them!!!

Tracey, I've had a thought about your pom poms - can you not make them to the point where they're ready to be unfolded, but store them in their folded state? Then you can get them done before things get too hectic but they won't flatten by being stored opened up?

Can you make them like woolen pompoms but with paper rafffeea (excuss spelling) and stop at the point where you need to cut around the cardbord circles
