So happy for you that it's all coming together! Dusky pink and grey will be lovely.

Those shoes are great - funnily enough, they're the ones my SIL2B is wearing for her wedding next week!! She was wearing them in the morning after her hen do but managed to spill sausage fat on them - whoops!! Apparently she's getting another pair, as they're only 30 quid!

I say get them - if you change your mind you can always sell them on, or dye them so they don't look so weddingy so you can keep them!

Natalie your venue sounds amazing! I'm so glad it's all coming together for you Also love the dusky pink idea, my other half is also keen to wear a grey suit. I think our colour scheme is going to be Teal, silver and ivory/white flowers. So I want thinking a silvery grey suit with a teal tie and white rose for a button hole....

I haven't even begun to think about shoes... I haven't worn high heels since I was 17... My h2b is 6'3 and i'm 5'4... he was asking if i'd be wearing high heels because he always looks like a giant in pictures of us and he thinks it might look funny on the wedding pics...

Natc glad you have your venue sorted & things are coming together for you, the shoes are great! I'd buy them anyway:D

We had a massive email yesterday from our wedding planner over in Rhodes with loads of details about what will happen at our UK consulation in the winter & also asking us in which of the location they offer we want to meet & then they will contact us to make the arrangements:D It makes it seem real now we are planning to meet them:j Still waiting for the lady who's making the invites to send me the proof, wish she would hurry up I want to see them. Also want to get them out as we want rsvp's by 1st Nov as hopefully meeting the planner mid Nov.

ive been spending a fortune this last couple of weeks but still got loads of bargains, just a couple to mention

my shoes bought £9, flower girl shoes bought £2.40 both frm BHS
flower girl dresses bought £13 from ebay, they are beautiful.

really need to go dress shopping and my mum is really excited but really just cant be bothered, im a size 22 and my experience so far is being frowned up when i go in the shop, yes bigger ladies can get married aswell!! Mark is really enthusiastic at the moment whic is lovely however have to control his spending.

Its killing me not to be able to look inside the venue but it currently looks like the picture below, Roll on December!!! i have to drive past it everyday and its now starting to frustrate me!

The shoes and the dresses are absolutely bargainous! Good MSE'ing! Im scared of getting any of the bridesmaid stuff yet, as mine are going to 6 years and two of them will be 2 years, just dont know how big/small they will be.

The venue will just come together really quickly towards the end of it being built.

Amybettb your colours sound lovley. Im not a lover of high heels either, wear them for work sometimes, and if im going out, but only get shoes that have a low heel, cant do with the massive heels! No point in being uncomfy is there. The heels ive seen look to be only short, maybe you could get some with just a small heel too, so you have a little bit more height, but with comfort

fawny you must be so excited!!! Every step feels like its more real and getting closer!

Saintly that is terrible about the snooty shop assistants - just comfort yourself with the thought that they are not going to get your business and therefore their commission - ha! Have you thought about phoning round local bridal shops just to ask what sizesthey stock? The tone oftheir response should give you a fairly good indication of their attitude, so you'll know who to not bother with.

Can't wait to see pictures of your invites - still haven't got round to attempting mine yet. I really want to have a play around with some card and see what happens, but I should probably discuss with H2B what we both want first, instead of just doing my own thing!

saintly...looks like the venue is coming along nicely! bet your excited to see it finished! and fab buys too! I didnt think about ebay for flower girl dresses...i really want to get them from there now as i know they would be cheap...but problem is they may arrive and not be the right size as some things are big on my daughter...dont know whether i could risk it! but i just know it will be an easier place to find the perfect dress for her :0)

fiona...im the same. My auntie had some tall cards and it going to have a play with my idea/colour scheme so i have a quick reference on how it will look before i buy everything! get making a mess woman!! LOL

saintly..with u on the dress shopping too. I have no motivation..yet all the people around me are shocked i havent started looking. they said you need to give yourselves 18 months to find one LOL a bride has just booked her wedding cake with me...for 2013! and she already has her dress too! LOL

LOVELY colour schemes being mentioned! dusky pink....LOVE! did it on a white wedding cake not long ago and loved it.
also the teal and grey.....will look nice with a deep shimmery grey

amy...have you decided if your going to have heels or not? maybe some small kitten heels?! you could always get bigger one for the ceremony and pictures and change into some flats for dancing the night away later on thats what ive done!

my colour scheme is deep purple, deep orange and green.
Bridesmaids will be wearing deep purple and wanted an orange bouquet for them something along the lines of these:


which means either my bouquet will have to be similar (but larger version) or go for an all purple bouquet.

but i really have my heart set on a nice bright multi coloured bouquet (not this exact one...seen some much nicer but only link i could find to give you an idea!)



but this wont match my bridesmaids....and if i give my bridesmaids multi coloured too...my colour scheme has gone out of the window LOL

nutty - love the bouquets!!! cant offer any advice to be fair about the bouquets, but im sure the fab ladies on here can. a cake for 2013, now im feelin ever so disorganised haha

amy - im having heels for the ceremony as my OH is much taller than me and then a paid of white sparkly flip flops for the evening as i DON'T do high heels.
