    Hi,

The wonderful gold shoes I ordered last week from Nine West have arrived & they fit:D Tried them on and they feel wonderful & don't feel as high as I though they would - I love them:jSo thats the shoes sorted.

Fab!! :T I can't wait to start shoe shopping properly! I've been keeping half an eye out for what's out there. I do want some that are good quality, as they do tend to be more comfortable than cheap shoes when you're on your feet all day. I need to get my underwear sorted first though as I can't do much more on the dress until that's done because it affects the fit. Next on my 'pretty things' list after underwear and dress fabric is shoes - lol, I'm such a girl!!! :rotfl:

  • Oooh ladies we are getting to be a large gang now! Sept 2012 will be a great month :)

White Sapphire necklace 2 is LUSH! Just something I would pick you know! I'm hoping my Granny's pearls will fit in with my dress...even if they don't I might just wear them anyway as sentiment is more important than fashion!

Things are marching on here been dress shopping to one store which had the dress I've been lusting after. It's a Justin Alexander one with a v. classic look. Then mum picked out a totally different one and not really something I would choose at all and then I put it on and got butterflies beautiful corset style which just pulled in my figure and so sparkly! I think it may be the one....got more appointments booked but they have a lot to live up to! The other good thing is by calling a shop 2 hrs away they have the dress £500 cheaper and the max she will charge for alterations is £60 so if it is the one I will defo be travelling to go get it!

Also went to the nearby paper mill today and picked up a bit and a bob of card to do some prototypes for invites. The greatest thing is my aunty works there so she said once I know my card to call her and she will get it all for me free of charge! Well I will get her some whisky but that's BRILLIANT! Then all I need are my own skills to get going with them hoping to get them all made over winter so all we need are the inserts to pop in once we have all the info and we are ready :)

    Very exciting isn't it?

Hugs Natc hope you are ok chick never nice when people are being mean about things. Also re the rings...we picked and ordered ours a few weeks ago you can't predict what precious metals will do but you do KNOW what you can afford and if they are a price you can afford and you love them just get them. I have found when I've told people I'm doing such and such they sometimes are like ugh too early. I tend not to tell now until it's done....and even then I don't always as it's up to me and OH how we do things!!!

smooches away to nose at White Sapphire's dress! xxxxxx

That's brilliant news about your dress Joanne! Let us know which one you choose, and obviously show us a piccie!!! :D

Your aunt is a star to get you your invite materials for free - definitely worth a bottle of good single malt! That's something else I need to sort out actually, although not urgently - the cheapest place for good quality card and paper. *adds to list*

As for your Granny's pearls - pearls go with pretty much everything! Although if the neckline of the dress meant that the necklace didn't sit right you could always pin it into your hair, or wrap it round your bouquet.

Hi Joanne, thanks also for the hugs :)

You sound very organised! And yes, its all very exciting!(when ppl keep their noses out and just be happy for you!!) Cant wait to start buying all the little things and doing the invitations and such.

Oooooooh, the...ONE! Well done!!!! You will probably go to all the other shops and go back to that shop for the ONE, but its worth it isnt it really just to settle yourself that it really is the ONE ;)

I really dont think its bad at all to start getting all the things you have, and thinking about the things you have, because itll be all sorted earlly, and you wont be stressed out. Youll be a laid back bride m with everything sorted, just waiting for the day to hurry up along.
  • Yes once decided don't worry I'll be sure to let you know! Exciting! I know I just want to get as much as poss sorted as I'm bridesmaid to my friend next July too so will be busy with things for that in the run up to their wedding which I am happy about really as will save me getting worked up too early. We went bridesmaid dress shopping for her yesterday so have picked a lovely dress nice and summery! Defo wedding fever in this house at the moment.

Yes Natc we will be chilled out brides and smile the WHOLE run up....and only melt down in the privacy of our own homes hahaha! My fave thread is the Bridezilla one it cracks me up....I have had so many moments where I've had to bite tongue!

    xx

I know, I can't believe how quickly the time is going - when I started counting down it was just under 600 days!

H2B and I have decided to celebrate the 400 day mark with a couple of beers tonight :D
