    Hey,

Travel charges are because she's based in Birmingham and Chester is outside the area she normally works in. she has a face book group with a Wedding album and the pics are really nice. I'm going to arrange to meet up with her in Birmingham to look through her wedding album of sample pics.

Thanks bubbles, I'll look them up :)

    heres mine: http://www.la-photography.co.uk/blog/

still not much wedding planning here! i want to start the invites too but cant even do that as the glue will probably dry up by the time it comes to giving them out and all my pieces will fall off ha ha.

could do with having another visit really to check all the timings and stuff :)

How can you pass up a visit to the zoo?! LOL

    Hi,

Loving the info on what to look for in a photographer, as I think we may only have a choice on 2 or 3 at the most. From what I understand(I could be wrong as we have not met with her yet) our wedding planners have 2 or 3 contacts on the island who we can book after seeing their work when we meet in the winter. I know i'm happy to pay for a good photographer & i'd like it videod(funds pending) for those to see who can't come. I've had a look at a few photograoher site who work in Rhodes but don't know yet which ones they work with to get an idea.

    This place is so imformative:D

    lol fawny :)

I want a videographer too but most ive looked at cost £500+ and budget wont stretch that far yet :( i also want a steel band...and are also £500 ha ha thats like an extra £1000 right there! weddings can be so expensive! ha ha
but im not daft and will cut in the appropriate places so may not have a steel band etc....it was just something i would have liked :)

I photographed a wedding last month, its tough work! and me and my friend did it and only charged £100 for the hire of the fancy lenses. If you pay for me and my friends flights and accommodation we will do it PMSL

seriously though, always remember that the photos are one of the things you are going to have left from your day and are what your going to pull out in years to come to reminisce! so you want to make the right decision :) xx

    Hey All,

We've arranged to meet up with the photographer in September with my Mum and Fiance to look at her full wedding album and contracts.

Likely to be after the wedding fayre we are going to at the start of September, just in case someone else catches my Mum's eye! ha! Though the more I look at her pictures the more I like them.

NuttyMummy, your photographers pics look beautiful :) I really like the style of them, do you mind if I ask how much you're paying?
I'm the same on invites - When is a good time to send them out for a September 2012 wedding??

I'd never pass up a visit to the zoo :) I'd go back every week if I could!

hi amy! yeah i mentioned in an earlier post that my photographer is a little more than what i thought id ever pay at £2000, but i get at least 600 photos on disc and shes such a lovely person who i totally trust to do the job (im a photo monster! LOL)

for invites i was thinking 3 months before the wedding....in which case ive got to wait AGES to start them! LOL and im itching to give them a go because i have a cute elephant punch to use! ha ha

ha ha yeah i love the zoo :)
They have just introduced experience packages there where you can pay to feed the meerkats, giraffes or penguins.Giraffes are my fav zoo animals (aswell as chimps etc!) so asked if maybe we could feed the giraffes on our wedding day which would be cool! and deffo something to never forget! but they are only offered on certain weeks, days and times so its hit and miss whether it would land on our wedding day at the right time! i can dream though :)

Are you going for the meal option? we are having afternoon tea and the BBQ after x

Eep! £2000, yes I do remember seeing that... that's certainly more than our budget would allow! :)

My favourite is the lions, I'm kind of lion mad! My fiance adopts them every year for me :) His favourite animals are hippos, which unfortunately they don't have at Chester! Perhaps we could request they ship some in for us especially :p

We think we are going to go with the wedding breakfast and then bacon butties, fries and a cheese tower/cake for the evening. We are going to include the walking tour (because I think we should make the most of the unique venue) followed by a glass of pimms but no BBQ ... not many other people can say they had a safari at their wedding!

Well we have just blown the budget! We were looking for a photographer for around £450, and we have booked one who is £1000 more than that!

The pictures they do are fabulous though, and the photographs are really important to the groom, so we thought - what the hell, go for it.

Catherine and David already have everything they need in their house, so they were not sure what to do about presents etc anyway, so they are going to ask people to contribute to the fantastic wedding album instead - hopefully they will be able to make up most of the shortfall that way! If not, belt tightening classes to be attended!

    me too!

i thought the BBQ was part of the safari? thats what we booked anyway? LOL I will have to see what the other options are.

i want to invite more people to the night do...but dont think its going to be possible with living so far away and people having to drive/not drinking etc :( plus i wouldnt be able to put a buffet on due to already paying per head for the bbq and safari ooo decisions :(

aww thats nice about the adoption!! My OH's favourite is Gorillas....but they dont have those either! they are at blackpool zoo! he does like tigers though.

and do you know whats good about it for you....oakfield manor is right NEXT to the lion enclosure!
