Thanks so much for sharing your dress photos, White Sapphire. It's fascinating to see a work in progress, and so exciting to see it taking shape0

dress is coming along! id still be scared to death making mine! eeek! keep us updated :0)
Welcome to the thread you two! i cant believe just how many people are getting married on the same date!! ha ha
hmmm i agree a reading would be a good way to include them....cant think of much else!
no more wedding planning being done here...still pretty much on a stand still!though i have warned family not to expect a 'traditional' wedding and thankfully they have all said to have the day how we want it and stuff what other people think, so at least now they sort of know what the day is about:dance:

Hey All,
I feel like its still a long way off but my mum is keen to book a specific photographer (I don't think she's even looked at any others...)
She likes this one Samantha Knight Photography (apparently I'm not allowed to post links yet!) who quotes £495 for 6 hours coverage and a CD with 100 edited photos.
Does this sound like a good deal to you guys?
We're going to a wedding fayre in September, do you think we should wait until then before making a decision or should we snap this offer up?
Cheers,

that is a very good price amybettb but you have to feel comfortable with the photographer, do you?I am not bossy I just have better ideas:p0

first thing to check is if the photographer is showcasing a full wedding set (not just a few images from each wedding) to show that she is consistant throughout the day.
then compare her with others...(im getting at least 600 images...whereas you mention 100) and is from getting ready to the first dance.
most good photographer are usually £600-£800 for this and most include an album.
mine is over the odds at £2000, but im into photography myself so i know what to look for in photos etc and im more than happy with my photographer, she cant wait to shoot our wedding and calls me a 'mad bride' LOL
you really need to meet the photographer and make sure your comfortable with her first xx:dance:

Hey all,
Thanks, I found out about her through my cousin's band as she did a band shoot for them and her pictures are great and they all seem to love her. She's given us a full quote now, for £595:
- Travel costs for Pre-wedding consultation
- A CD of around 20 Hi-res images taken at the zoo on the day of the consultation
- Travel costs on the date of your wedding.
- Selection of reportage and formal photographs on your wedding
- 8 hours wedding coverage
- Online gallery
- 200 image CD of re-touched Hi-res images from your wedding day.
This all sounds great to me...but we'll make sure we have a good think before signing anything

?? photographers dont usually charge travel expenses unless its REALLY far away from them. it should be in with the price, and be careful as band photography/studio work etc is a entirely different ball game to weddings. please make sure you only judge her by her wedding pics and nothing else xxx
hope that helps xx:dance:

White sapphire that part of the dress looks fab slightly Pippa Middleton! Your mum and you are really creative I've still yet to learn hem stich so I can turn up the legs on may trousers and jeans!
Tricky situation about bridesmaids if budget is the reason then perhaps Katherine( appolgies if I've mispelt) could ask them to part pay towards the dress or pick out white or whatever colour dresses and have sashes in her colour. Also have a look at formal dresses that aren't in the bridal sections as sometimes these are lovely and can work really well as BM/flowergirl dresses:kisses3: Married 29th September 20120 -
im getting married in cheshire too though not the zoo,my photographer is based there so doesnt charge travel and is really reasonable
