Nuttymummy, I cannot wait to see photos of your wedding, is it all a Nightmare on Elm Street theme? What else have you got (If you dont mind sharing!!) I used to love watching it when I was little, might have to put it on again soon!
I love reading every on else plans it makes me so excited!!!
Quick question, I'm not a church goer, but do want to get married in a church (CoeE) does any one know if they are really strict and make you go to church in the lead up and such? And how do you go about it, do I literally just walk in and be like "Hi , I would like to get married"?!Thoughts become things!0 -

Welcome MRSMAC2BE and MandyMoo22!! :hello:
Gillian, you are in good company with joanneinwonderland, the_insider, soontobeawife AND catgirl!
MandyMoo, you are date triplets with amycm123 and Emmylou.
You are extremely organised MandyMoo, I can't believe how much you've got done!! We're still tryingtosort the big things before we can look at the (much more fun!) details - When we've finalised the food and drinks costs and found a celebrant we'll look for a photographer and the entertainment. Then we'll have all the big costs coveredand can spend money on fun stuff!!
xMarrying my lovely man on 1st September 2012

No its not all NOES themed unfortunatelyim a HUGE horror fan...NOES being my all time fav! but my other half....hates horror!! hes a big wimp :rotfl:
but as our wedding is so personalized i HAD to get a reference to my love of horror in there somewhere
no i dont mind sharing
we are getting married in chester zoo (the place we went on our first outing as a couple)
i have my NOES shoes
elephant and giraffe cufflinks
having elephant invites
a film quiz
pinatas
facepainting
animal helium balloons
floating animals in bowls (we arent having a sit down meal though so may have to find somewhere to put these!)
we are having afternoon tea (maybe picnic style if the ground is dry)
a safari round the zoo when its closed to the public with BBQ and disco
the cake......we are undecided! im a cake decorator so i want something really different! the zoo have seen tons of zoo themed cakes so i was thinking of making a gorilla out of cake....and a traditional looking cake at the side of it with a huge bite mark out of it LOL (though i secretly want a goonies themed one ha ha)
our songs for the ceremony are from our fav films:
Beauty and the beast to walk into i think
accidentally in love - shrek
power of love - back to the future
good enough - goonies
for signing the register
and then hakuna matata - lion king to walk out to LOL
and then at some point in the disco im going to get the dj to play the others that i couldnt fit in...like dance magic dance - labyrinth etc
hopefully get some sort of photobooth with animal themed props etc
candy buffet/ desert table
favours are animal bars or animal biscuits as alot of people end up leaving favours if they arent edible LOL
props on tables for the night do too so people can have a laugh
ermm...cant remeber what else off the top of my head haha
as for the church thing....ive heard alot of people have to visit the church beforehand for a few masses etc.White_Sapphire wrote: »We're still tryingtosort the big things before we can look at the (much more fun!) details - When we've finalised the food and drinks costs and found a celebrant we'll look for a photographer and the entertainment. thanks, to be honest Im just looking out for bargins and budgeting myself, ive paid £700 of the venue so far now
Im trying not to be a bridezilla, i say that now but a week before i might end up being one lol.
Ive found it all quite simple, because I feel, at the moment, that aslong as it looks in my head how i think it will, and aslong as everyone is there who cares. lol.
Oh lots on 15.09.12 then, we chose that day because we would have been together 6 years on 16th, but wanted a Saturday wedding. Just these suits, oH is slacking abit in chosing them and confirming his bestman!
Congrats everyone :-) xxxxAccept that some days you're the pigeon, and some days you're the statue. Only fools are statues every day. (15.09.12 cant wait!)0
