September 2012 Brides and Grooms

At a guess, I'd say it'd look more coherant to me if both names on the Save The Dates (and the invites, for that matter) were given in the dame degree of formality. So both informal shortened names, or both long names. But obviously, it doesn't matter which!
Having said that, it's your wedding and you should put whatever each of you are most comfortable with!
Also: *waves* hello everyone, I'm also a September 2012 bride! My mum's been in this thread already, I think, but I'm Cat, and I'm marrying David in Monmouthshire on the 22nd.Life on a shoestring!0 -
congrats on the 22nd:kisses3: Married 29th September 20120

We are now booked. And I've told OH that once he's given me addresses, he doesn't have to THINK about the wedding (unless he wants to) until this time next year. (I've got a photographer lined up (someone I used to work with now does wedding photography and (as he's just starting), the prices are really reasonable) and cake is coming from M&S.)
Unfortunately, MIL2B is currently sailing around Sweden for the summer. Although we are going to their house (in Cyprus) for two weeks at the end of July so should be able to raid any (obviously visible) address book then.We may not have it all together, but together we have it all

Do you think it ok to put Viki and Ben or Viki and Benjamin or should it be Victoria and Benjamin
I personally would say that Save The Dates don't have to be as formal as invites (assuming you're having formally worded invites). I reckon it would be perfectly fine to put Ben and Viki for Save The Dates and Benjamin and Victoria for the invites. Save The Dates have been brought in pretty recently, given that people tend to get booked up much further in advance than in the past. There are no rules or expectations of what they should be like. Entirely up to you!TheSeventh wrote: »At a guess, I'd say it'd look more coherant to me if both names on the Save The Dates (and the invites, for that matter) were given in the dame degree of formality. hi all has anyone got their dress yet? if so what is it? which year is it from?
im feeling a bit pressured from my mum to order the one i liked when i tried them on with her but ive only tried on a few more and none of those i liked even on the hanger!
i just want to get this september out of the way to see if there are any new styles i like and then maybe order it in january, hopefully in a sale, so then its plenty of time till my wedding but too late to change it
my mum wants to pay for it but i didnt want her too(another story!) so ill put £500 to it and she can pay the rest! ill just tell her to start saving now if she wants!I am not bossy I just have better ideas:p0 -
bubbles, i havent even been dress shopping yet! ha ha. im going to have to soon though as i can tell im going to be really picky! LOL
i know what you mean about past styles/new styles. im not sure which i would prefer...a new style that is available everywhere but costly, or an old design that will most likely be cheap...but hard to find! LOL:dance:

oh im very picky!! out of the first shop i went to there was only two that were suitable(one of them i love) the next shop didnt have anything and the last i just tried them for the sake of it!
im going again in a couple of weeks and trying the one i love again, its from this year so im hoping they dont discontinue it after september!I am not bossy I just have better ideas:p0 -
id say if you try it on again and you still love it....total set on it, make sure you do everything to be able to have that dress!
otherwise you will just regret it later! theres loads of times ive put off buying something and thought 'oh ill get it later' etc...and its disappeared never to be seen again!
write down the name, style number etc and do loads of research to see how many people stock it etcxx
