And we will have been engaged for exactly one year as of tomorrow, so maybe I should get a move on!

Thanks, because we are marrying in Rhodes I though it would be a good idea to do one early on & that way people can find info on what's happening, where to stay etc saves asking us all the time:D

It still seems so far aways for all us Sept 2012 brides but I'm sure it will come round fast.

Don't worry picking up lots of tips here like making your own wedding invites etc and not being affraid to haggle prices. Also involving friends and family to do things like making the cake as their wedding present.

If you google image Glinda 50G you will see them..I'm in love!

Picked our wedding rings this week too going in on Saturday to pay the deposit. Got my engagement ring cleaned too can't believe how much nicer it is having been cleaned it really was gross!

Love those shoes!! Red + sparkles = :drool: If your family's anything like mine though (you have my sympathies if they are ), be prepared for a whole world of Wizard of Oz-themed jokes to come your way!

I keep trying to call an art gallery about having our evening do there, but I keep missing the manager and forgetting to call her back! Might just be easier to send an email!

Other than that, have basically done nothing except decide on a few details of my outfit, and been vaguely thinking about things. 491 days and counting...

Haha yes...I am not even a Wizard of Oz fan I don't dislike it just not a fan. I just like the red and sparkly...I might still try to click my heels!

We've had a bit of a break since last year to tell the truth just needed to forget a bit as you can get out of hand eh? I think having done these two things I really will leave it again now until later in the summer. Thinking will dress shop Sept/October and I think that's really the next thing I'll do.

Art gallery idea sounds LOVELY! Stop putting it off and go and send a wee email just now to introduce yourself then that's a tick on the list.

Had a few weddings lately as guests and it's just totally wedding fevered me up again also went with my friend yest and she bought her wedding dress so that got me all hyper too! EEK!

Got quotes for my ideal venue £475 +VAT for wedding ceremony £80+VAT for photos! which I think is a bit step and checky if they are planning on adding this on top have asked for confirmation as to what exactly is included in this package. Got other quotes for £500 for various other venues in Dumfries and Galloway hoping to use these in order to haggle. I was wondering what is the normal price for a venue and what is normally included?

Eighty quid for photos??? I've never heard of a venue charging for that before! Definitely query what their reason is for this. The venue hire cost itself isn't bad, IMO - mine's £960, which includes a lot of the decorations, cake stand and knife, and the ceremony cost.
