OMG it was really nerve wracking!!

I havent managed to watch it myself yet...only got back from london this morning at 2am!! shattered! Had to get up to take my son to school and bake a cake...otherwise id be in bed ha ha.

Nothing was scirpted so we got thrown in at the deep end....when she came over to ask what i was making i just panicked and thought....arrrggghhhhh she wasnt supposed to ask us that...im not ready! LOL

Oh my God! We just bought Catherine's wedding dress! As it's ages till the wedding, we were just at a loose end today and Catherine suggested we go to have a first look. The first shop had great dresses, all around the £1000 mark and they were nice, but you had to make an appointment to try on. We went along to another little privately owned shop in Hereford and Catherine actually found THE DRESS! It was in the sale, reduced to 1/3 the original price - so it was only £249! it is a skirt with a separate corset type top, and the bolero will be custom made, so is going to have slightly longer sleeves and a little stand up collar but you get the idea - we know it's stupidly early, but it was too good a bargain to miss!

Sorry to gatecrash, I belong on the August 2012 thread! I just had to say nuttymummy you were truly fab on Fern's show. You didn't come across as being nervous at all, and your cake was absolutely amazing- I love it! I am gutted you're not local to me or I would be asking you for a quote for my cake!

Yeah i was really nervous....the bit where she asked me to make something wasnt supposed to happen so i had to make it up as i went along LOL

im back there on the 21st April.....still panicking!! LOl

Hope everyone is well and had a good weekend. I spent the weekend celebrating the future in-laws' 40th anniversary which was lovely, and managed to get more details on SIL2B's wedding so I now have a better idea of what to avoid doing so that our weddings are different And I met her future step-daughter, who is SO CUUUTE!!!

What a lovely weekend:j White Sapphire glad you got to know a few details of the other wedding, it's the last thing you want for your to be the same i'm sure. Spent a bit of time over the weekend choosing songs we both like & making a note of them, as we think we can have a CD of music playing on the boat after our services, so staring to jot special songs down:D

i might go looking at real live wedding dresses soon
my mum lives over 200 miles away and were going to stay with her in a couple of weeks so we could go one day
it never crossed my mind to go with her as were so far away and not that close anyway
we havent fallen out or anything were just so far apart, it may still be a tad too early but i wont have the chance to do it with her again i dont think
ill probaly get a preloved dress though

It's never too early Bubbles:D Might take you a while to spot something. I'm having mine made & have already booked the dress maker & sat & done some designers with her.
