Dodgy hug for you Fiona :grouphug: pretty much everything in my garden has gone to pot due to this strange weather. The only thing doing really well are the weeds  it hurts me to see them but I just haven't had time to sort them so I'm concentrating on stopping them from strangling my favourites and hoping for a cold winter to kill them all off :o

If you use the fast track service for the passport it'll still be here in plenty of time :)

Anything we can help with with the rest of the organisation? Xx

    Hello ladies,

Getting really fed up of all this rain now! We have next week off work & we were hoping it would be sunny so we could start our tans off & have a few bbq's - not looking very hopefully:( Looks like we will have to have a few meals out instead:D

Nothing is doing very well in our garden either, OH has spent loads of monry on plants & there not doing much. Fiona glad to hear the dress is coming on great, don't forget the camera next time;) Tilly you have got some great bargins very:money:

We sent our legal documents to the wedding planner in Lindos yesterday, went with DHL in the end. Sent them at lunchtime & they have landed in Athens this morning:D I suspect this is where it will all slow down, the new activity of the day is checking where they are every few hours :rotfl:
Married the man of my dreams - 10th September 2012, St Paul's Bay Lindos :jIt was amazing.

Anybody know the best place for cheap sweets other than Costco and the likes? It's £50 for Costco membership which kind if defeats the object as I don't think we would save £50 buy shopping there.
Having a sweety buffet. Got all my glass ware sorted. Just need things to fill them. Bought afew of the half price skittles but apart from that not sure what else? Approved foods had afew but where going to be ood x

  • We are having sweet bag favours, sweet jar centrepieces which will then turn into sweet buffet at night!! I am a member at Costco and so far normal supermarkets have been just as cheap if not cheaper so I'd go down that route.

Also randomly we ordered a heap from Amazon!! Drumstick lollies arrived today yum yum!!

Welcome Tillymama! You seem so organised; I really want time to slow the :eek::eek::eek: down cos there's so much to do!!!

babyb06, I'm sorry you've had a hard time, I hope you're feeling a bit better now? If you are an introvert who does not like being the centre of attention, then you can have a wedding that reflects that; small guest list, minimum number of photos, drop all the grand entrances if they're not your style (eg you don't have to be 'announced' into the reception if you don't want to), etc._ Could of screamed at relative when I said OH wasn't doing a speach so instead I was. 'but that's his job I think that's the least he can do' OH doesn't like being the centre of attention as I keep telling him if you don't feel happy comfortable then don't do it F*** everyone else it's your day do what makes you happy!

I'm feeling a little stressed at the mo; trying to find a new place to live, organise the ceremony (H2B and I are in disagreement over this - good natured disagreement, but I'm not sure how to compromise so that we're both happy), sort out my passport (have had cash flow problems so haven't been able to send off the forms yet and I'm scared they'll be delayed), organise the rest of the wedding, finish my dress (going well by the way - forgotten my camera the last two times hence lack of photos, sorry! :o)) and stop my allotment looking like a haven for triffids - already lost most of my sweet peas due to slugs, bindweed and weird weather :( they were supposed to be my bouquet. Just want to wind the clock back two months, then I'll be fine..._ cut back the sweetpeas they might come again as for the slug pick them off late at night with a torch! mine aren't flowering yet! and only a foot and half high!

And I work in horticulture! As for cold weather trust me it doesn't work one year seeding= 7 years weeding!
