    nuttymummy: personally, i like #1!

    t*ovi: looove those photos! makes me relieved because my OH and I are more 'down to earth' than the glamorous ultra-made-up couples I see in a lot of wedding/pre-wedding shoots and it's nice to be reminded that you can be yourself and show how much your really love each other without all the bling and expensive venues.
    (um, um, not that you and your OH aren't glamorous! i just like the natural poses, relaxed setting and so on! eep!)


    OH and I are finally writing our ceremony! (with thanks to White_Sapphire for the details of her lovely lovely celebrant!)

    Is anyone else picking readings? we think we're going to go along these lines:

    Thoughts on Marriage

    What does marriage mean in today's world? We live in a world where the old-fashioned social pressures to conform have all but gone. No longer does a young woman wait for her husband to give her a new independence from her parent's home. And society no longer frowns upon couples who choose not to marry. So why get married at all?

    Perhaps when two people decide that, in the absence of these conformities, this is something they actually want to do - for themselves, for their families and for its own sake, that the meaning of marriage has shifted to the same extent as times have moved on.
    Now, a cynic might say that a piece of paper alone will not guarantee that two people will stay together for life...... and a cynic might have a point. But ridden of any outside pressure, the vows and intentions are totally pure and unadulterated. There cannot really be a better guarantee than this.

    Im swaying towards one and two. 4 is out of my mind completely. 3 felt really special as it was going on, it was very slimming and something felt quite special as she was fastening it up....but its also the most expensive, and I know 'price doesnt matter if its the one' but with already spending so much money I dont think i could justify it LOL

    the readings are lovely! We arent having any only because we want the ceremony bit as short as possible LOL

    I love when readings can come from the mosy unexpected places, like dr suess, winnie the pooh etc. I think its lovely :D x

    ok 1 could be ok if you did those alterations, i think you need the skirt to start quite high, 2 has too much material making you appear shorter,three elongates your figure more than the others and although there isnt a differance in shape between 3 and 4 i prefer the look of 3

    tovi your pics are lovely i love you hair colour too its close to mine, i dont think its too bright if it was brassy id say it needed toning down but its not :)

    2 was one of my faves from the day, I just loved the 'fluffyness' of the ruffles.
    3..I have found in a size 12 for £900 in a sale but would have to buy it without trying it on as its too far away. and I cant remember what size i tried on in the shop LOL but i know it was too small which is why they wanted to order one. The picture was also taken from below (my mum was sat down) the other pictures were taken from her standing/or me standing LOL

    but im pretty much ruling out number 4 now I reckon.

    I think I may have to go back tomorrow try them all again, take more pics and give them all a decision. Theres no way im going to pay almost £2000 for the Paloma though, I would have to try and find a sale one (like the £900) if thats the one i want.

    What draws me even more to the palm springs is, ive rang all the stockists in the north west and NO-ONE has one only that shop, and theres NONE for sale on the internet ebay/preloved/sales etc in the UK. So It would be cool to know I had a quite 'exclusive' type of dress in the UK..its just so fluffy!

    The first one draws me just because of the amount of alterations and changes you could do to it, it was very versatile, and the price is good. But dont know if the material the ruffles were done in seemed a little 'cheap' and I can see the boning in the body part which annoys me a little. They said I would see that though with a blingy belt x

    ha ha how indecisive am i!!? LOL

    Tracey, I prefer 3, but you're very clearly leaning towards 2... ;) Definitely go and try them on again though before making a decision.
