    Hello Ladies,

Scottsbride - hope you are ok & get OH sorted soon._ Actually we have sorted now I've mentioned to my mum and he's mentioned to his to let certain things go. After taking your advise ladies didn't mention the wedding. OH brought it up and suggested seeing as we'd had a message from the jeweller in Edinburgh that my sample ring was in why didn't we go and then go onto the Edinburgh botanics something that we both enjoy and wanted to do and gets away from the whole wedding thing after. Today filled in our forms to give notice.

Hello again t*ovi - i'm doing my own make up:D It usually look ok when I do it so hopefully it will be good on the day. I've got a wide range of products from different places so fingers crossed I can look good. I keep meaning to practise doing it but keep forgetting & don't want OH to see it & it seems such a waste putting it on & taking it off, it's not cheap:eek:. I know I've been practicing with samples and freebies. Don't do what I did and end up blotchy as your allegic to lacome eye makeup remover (was a freebie thank god!)

The guest book I ordered from ebay arrived yesterday it's lovely:j Our CNI's arrived from the registar this morning:T So I can send them to be legalised on Monday which should take 48hours & then I need to send them with our birth certificates to Rhodes:eek: Sending them by DHL, so fingers crossed they get there ok, you get a tracking number so I will be checking daily to see where they are:rotfl:_ worried that the concil will loose our so making sure I get copies of everything! and name wish had DHL number handing them in by hand! so making note of names!

scotsbride...more hugs :( I dont know what else to suggest!_Me thinking small doses followed by something wedding unrelated is the key :)

Update on the 'dress regret' I went in and tried my own dress on again. They understand what i mean and have confirmed that the style of the dress just doesnt match my day at all. The original dress shop had ordered the wrong size (which is why it doesnt fit right) I tried on a dress they thought suited my day (still silver) but a tealength dress with a sweetheart neckline and some lovely bling on the waist. it was MUCH better than mine and I could walk in it! hurrah! Trouble is My other half isnt too keen on the shorter dresses (he says if they arent long they arent like wedding dresses) and I know where hes coming from.Had a simliar thing with OH and Shoes but as my OH said you're the one wearing it and if you feel good and comfortable that the most important thing! I also wanted my shoes to be abit of fun to flash throughout the day for people to get a glimpse of now and then, not to be on show constantly.
BUT they did this exact dress...in long too! Id go as far to say i LOVE the top part of the dress, perfect neckline, lovely beaded part, but the bottom doesnt really do anything for me. Very plain.
So with me leaving it very late they need a decision tomorrow, and I got myself into another tizz thinking...I have another huge decision to make in another short deadline.

SOOO as i was shopping today i called in another dress shop, and all their dresses can be bought off the peg. I think what im going to do is go into the local one again tomorrow, thank them for all their help (they have bent over backwards) but I made them a cake and left them a nice review on google, and hope thats enough! Then go on a furious dress shopping week trying ALLSORTS of dresses on to see if I come across one that I LOVE. (because I havent had chance to do that yet)
I think just because the other dress i tried on is BETTER than mine, it doesnt mean to say its 'the one' does that make sense?

My other half has said price is not an option he just wants me to be happy in my dress. So I have to buck up the courage and tell the dress shop tomorrow that I need ot look elsewhere before committing. If I dont try on the dresses I have my eye on, i will always be left wondering 'what if' x

T*ovi - I'm doing my own make up. I had a trial at Chanel last week and I loved it. Bought the primer, foundation, powder & eyeshadow which cost a fortune but I'll get lots of use from them, and then will buy cheaper versions of the lipgloss etc in the shades she used. I practiced the make up on my hen over the weekend and was really happy with how it looked :D. Excellant can we view pics?

Nutty Mummy - I'm changing my name on my driving license, banks etc but not on my passport :o I still have 3 years left on it so will just wait until it's due for renewal and do it then. Good luck with the dress hunt this week :) you sound much happier about the whole situation. Waiting to do this until my hen (sept) do as then I can get my photos signed. Only got less than a year on my driving license and know I need the registrar to sign something so i can Change my name on my passport which expires in 4 years but doing it now as they will probably put the prices up agsain if I wait four years!

Catherine your dress, veil & bolero are stunning :DDitto to this as are all the dresses loving the pics I will put some on when a I work out how to do it and b remember my password for photobucket!

Fawny - your list is lovely & manageable :D
    - Wish mine was as short!

we were hoping for a 'hag' hen and stag combined, and rent out a cinema screen just for us. But we are having trouble finding people who can go at the date at that time for that film. So we havent got anything planned at the moment.

RIGHT GIRLS!! This is where I need honest opinions. Ive been dress shopping today! If you guys could help and let me know what are the good points bad points and what you think it would be great.

Alterations, sweetheart neckline putting in,large blingy belt or applique to the stomach area, and the whole skirt lifted (to the place im holding it in one of the pics) It also needs taking in as it was quite loose...so imagine it tighter.

Ive had makeover done by estee lauder, my daughter said it looked nice, but i thought it was a little too heavy. i did end up buying their mascara and foundation, which i am really impressed with.....Ive been on the hunt for a perfect foundation for about 20 years! The mascara has good staying power too. I read a lot of reviews on makeupalley, and my favourite youtube watch while im at the gym is wayne goss, he is fab.

Theseventh you look absolutely gorgeous it really suits you.
Groovyfox18 for evening music we have asked all our guests to provide us with their 3 favourite songs, that they are willing to get up and dance to, and hopefully we will be able to create a good playlist for the DJ we have to take with our venue.
For reception music we are both rock music fans, so have been searaching for orchestral versions of the songs we like.
Nuttymummy did you feel any of them was 'theone'
I tried tonnes of dresses on, so many different styles, in fact just about every style going! But when i tried the one on i liked, i knew i felt comfortable in it.
Well Ive dished out some evening invites today. Its been really hard work trying to decide who to invite and who not too...i work in an office and speak to loads of people.

Hee hee the hand on the bum, the photographer told us to have a go at some poses, and he wanted some natural shots, my hand is supposed to be around his waist but im so used to it being in his pocket! Im really pleased with the photographer and he has done us a really good deal too. I like the sniff the temple shot,

Do yous think I need to tone my blondness down, it looks really bright in the pictures! (all natural of course)
