Hi all!

There's been a fairly major change, in that I've had to completely recut the back of the bodice. :eek: My mum and I had been having problems with it from the start, as it just wouldn't hang right. Until not long ago I had just kept telling myself 'it'll be fine, just needs another tweak' etc. Having not been able to get anything done on it for nearly a month though, I have been able to think about it more and realised that it's not too late to change it! Until I made that decision I hadn't realised how much it had been worrying me, but every time I imagined the wedding day, my thoughts always came back to 'but will the dress look as good as I want it?'
So, today I unpicked almost the whole thing, re-cut the back (using practice fabric first), and started to sew it all back together again. FINALLY, the back of the dress actually matches the picture in my head!! :j Of course, I'm now even more behind schedule, but that's OK...

Well, according to my initial deadline, it'll be ready by Tuesday! :rotfl:

I'm giving myself till the end of June, but will try to get it done before then. At least it gives me more time to get in shape without having to adjust it again nearer the time!

well lovely ladies everyone seems to be cracking on with things

Got my BM dresses (or rather mum insisted on getting them thank mum) at the weekend http://www.coast-stores.com/DIVINE-DRESS/Dresses/coast/fcp-product/2224767115 they all agreed on this and liked it more importantly so did I! after thinking of auturm colour when they tried them on the oranges reds etc they looked awful on them! This was the first time all my Bms had meet was very nervous about it but they all got on like a house on fire. would recommend to anyone having BMs who don't know each other getting them all together before the wedding!

Other news enquired after wedding list as we live together we don't really need anything but people are insisting so we're thinking of doing a john lewis one which allows a mixture of items and vouchers! free delivery to the uk two/three after the wedding and people can order on line,phone or in store.

also invites have someone who said she's design them as a wedding present now need to discuss with OH what kind of thing we want!

Florists got fabric swatch of my dress and with BM dress done can now discuss flower colours etc!

makeup- took advantage of debenhams beauty club card and offers on some products! also went and got hints and tips from various different makeup counters (all free) including MAC in selfridges who drew me a diagram! might have a go myself on the day will see how I feel after hair and makeup trail.

cermony we have finally desided on where in the garden should the weather be nice we want to get married just need to find out about chairs!

reception- need to find out about cleaning up whether they have someone or we do it (if so need to get some volunteers!) also need to find out what they allow decor wise in terms on attaching thing to walls etc.

Transport- need to sort out a car for 3 BMs and my mum.

off to get more inspiration on colurs seeing as I've changed my mind yet again!

Scotsbride, sounds like you're cracking on well The BM dresses are beautiful! And great that they get on!!

I've finally done the invitation mock-up and am really happy with it so ordered the rest of the materials... MUST buy stamps tomorrow though before the price increase! Other than that & sending a couple of emails I'm having a wedding-free weekend.

am I being unreasonable wanting to book a holiday house that me and OH look after and part own for my family (my mum also puts more money in to it than anyone else) for the wedding only to be told by another part owner who pays nothing towards the upkeep and gets the best week that i can't do that as so and so needs somewhere to stay as they have a dog and they will need a room to stay! Needless to say 90% of the village is holiday lets and except dogs!

Scotsbride....ppl are so weird!!! Can you sort it out with them or are they adamant? And where do you stand if you want to just do it anyway?!!

Well, you guys may just go mad at me!!! The dress i bought in sale.... i was thinking about it constantly after buying it and thinking i really dont love it, i dont think i can wear it down the aisle! I was having nightmares! You may even tell from the posts i put on here about it that i just didnt love it. I spoke to my mum and tried it on again at her house, and still didnt love it, and so she said she didnt mind if i wanted to look for something else! My mum and dad have after all bought it for me. So, I did, without telling anyone, even my mum, only my OH who came with me to look... I know, its bad.....but I think i have finally found the actual one....here is a pic that i found on the internet, i dont know if im allowed to use it??! But i cant find a better pic...



I really do love it, it is more me. :j

It was £1300!!! :eek: but the lady in the shop will sell me the sample one for £650...so still not bad, and that means i have bought 2 dresses for less thank £1k! hahaha.

Going to try and sell the first one though, and then my mum and dads money can be used on something else
