i agree with Roz - they are beautiful dresses Fawny and Nat!

I have been reading all of your posts over the last few weeks but not posted as not sure what to say! We have made ltos of progress with wedding things and v happy with all of that.......but.....ordered my dress about 10 days ago and having doubts.

I chose it as the practical option that ticked boxes but I didn't 'love' it. I am not sure how women do try on a dress and just know it has to be the one unless they are an average size and the dress fits. Not a single dress i tried on fitted and so i couldn't fall in love!!! The dress I picked is the first one I saw a picture of and thought wow and so i hope i think that when it arrives in my size - if not - its too late - time and money wise!

Argh! I wish I could get married in my scruffs - would be much happier and feel more like me!

Aww babyb06 if u thought wow...I'm sure u will love it when it comes. I wish I cud have felt its the one too...and I think I did...because I wouldn't have got it, and the more I had it on the more I loved it, but it isn't the one I wud have drawn if u know what I mean??! The shape and traditional style for me is perfect. But from other brides and shops I've spoken t about finding the one...a lot of brides don't feel overwhelmed by the dress and cry or whatever they just know they like it and suits them and is the closest they come t perfect.

Nat that's fantastic news, so happy for you :) and what a bargain!! When you tried the dress on, did you just "know"? I'm going to go to a dress shop next Sat and try a few on that are more like what I thought I'd have, so we'll see what happens...

Joanne, Yey about your dress! Glad you're happy with it :) how was the cake? Taking one thing at a time is a pretty sensible way of doing things.- yey coming together

White Sapphire, the menu sounds great :) I need to buy stamps this week - thanks for the reminder!! :o still need to do invites!

Scotsbride - it's awful that people just assume that brides have no idea and will believe anything they're told! Glad you found someone you think you can trust - sometimes it's worth paying a bit extra to be confident in your suppliers :) well it's a small tight nit community word will get round and bad customer servie means loss of business

Catherine/Debbie well done on the stunning veil!

Crissy, Jammie & Gemma you all sound very organised!!

    This week I will...
Email meal venue to confirm menu choices & ask for wine suggestions
Email reception venue to say we've changed our mind about food and instead of a BBQ style buffet we now want pie & peas :D hopefully it's still possible within budget - I can't see why not?!
Contact ceremony registry office to arrange an appointment to see the room
Order invitation materials - really happy with the mock-up, just need to check the card goes through the printer...
    Dress shopping next Saturday

    5 months today :D
    good luck

Awww thanks Debbie. I love it, the more i look at it! And ive received a phone call from the seamstress today saying that she will be able to make it a sweetheart neckline, will be sort of ruched, but i think it will look nice. I did want it actually cutting into a sweetheart neckline and the lace taking off putting back in place around the sweetheart, but having the ruched bit in the middle might only add to its loveliness!
