Hi yummymummyoftwo (three)....date twins! Welcome. :)

My next thing is invitations. Im just going to make them, or try to! With Ivory cards and envelopes, a dusky pink ribbon down one side and a motif of somekind stuck on there...somewhere! LOL. Have you thought about making something like that with a simple design? I havent had a proper look yet, but dont think the ivory cards are expensive. How much are the vistaprint ones?

    Hello All,

Thanks for all the lovely comments on my dress. It's nowhere near finished yet but I love it already:D it will have one strap over the shoulder which is made of handmade flowers so I gues that will take a bit of doing. I'm not back there until June but will get more photos then for you:D

Ghawdon - Good to hear from you. Sounds like everything is going well. Good luck with the weight loss i'm sure you will do it:D

Joanne - hope your cat is better & you get your night away soon. At least you had a good weekend doing wedding things:j

natc - your dress is beautiful so happy for you. Great news that it can be altered to have the neckline to want too:j

babyb06 - I'm sure you will love your dress when it comes in your size. I think it's normal to keep worrying about it as it's such an important thing:D

Scotsbride - Love the shoes the flower on the side is very pretty:D Great buy on the waistcoat too.

Yummymummyoftwo/three:D Welcome to the September thread.

We are currently stuggling trying to find trousers for H2B - He wants to be in ivory & we are just having trouser, shirt, waistcoat & cravat. We are buying the shirt which he has got & was planning on hiring the rest. We can only find one wedding hire shop which does an ivory suit which we are booked in with for end of July but I worked the prices out yesterday & it's going to cost about £115 just to hire those 3 items:( We started looking in to buying the trousers & the waistcoat but we are really strugling to find any smart ivory/snad/light colured trousers that look smart. Everything I find is linen which he does not want or chino style which again he thinks is not smart enough. My dad is going to be buying his trousers anyway as he does not live near us so we can't hire his as we would have to carry them in our luggage & he is struggling too to find something -
Married the man of my dreams - 10th September 2012, St Paul's Bay Lindos :jIt was amazing.

Thanks bubbles & Scotsbride for the suggestions. Will look at ebay tonight as can't get on from work. We had orginally got £100 in for the mens outfits but looks like it will be more now. I think we are going to have to buy shoes for the BM too as he does not have any tan shoes which OH wants the ment to wear, my dad has some & so does OH but BM does not. We are going to offer to buy them but hopefully he may offer to pay for them, however we are very awear that they don't have loads of money & they are coming with us & they have had to pay for 3 as they have a 12 year old, so our wedding is not cheap for them.

    Thanks All:D

Evening ladies! Welcome to yummymummy, you've been added to our exclusive list on the first post; plenty of date twins for you!

Fawny, your dress is looking gorgeous already; can't wait to see the finished result. And Natalie, I love the diagonal lacing on your dress, it's absolutely stunning!!

I've been playing with my invite design today, trying to get the technique right; still some work to be done, but hopefully I can fine tune it. We've got the wording pretty much there, and the overall design, so once I'm happy with it the actual making of invites should be straightforward. Famous last words...

We've also booked our meal tasting, and the date for my hair and make up trial, so things aren't going too badly after my little panic fit last week!

    Next to do:
    - plant out my sweet peas (yep, running behind as ever!)
    - finalise what the ushers and Best Man are wearing
    - transport; we have no budget for this, so it may be a case of sweet-talking friends with nice cars!
    - vows (at least the first draft!), music and readings for the ceremony; our celebrant likes to know these well in advance so that she can write the ceremony around them so it all flows, IYSWIM
    - cake; who's making which tier, what size, when...
    - hen do; I've had a chat with my MoH about general ideas and likely numbers, so just need to finalise a date and give her some ideas of specific places to go. It'll be in the city that I, but not she, lives in, so I can't not help her a little!! Stag do's already organised, much to my astonishment!
    - create wedsite, and research travel and accommodation for guests
    - finalise gift list; probably a small traditional list to upgrade a few things, then Honeymoon donations.

That's just for the next few weeks!

    Eeep!
