  • EEEEEEEE!!!!! I have the best siblings ever!!! :j

I was on the phone to my sister last night, among other things asking if her son would be page boy (affirmative :T) and she was asking about hair and makeup, to which I said I'd be doing my own. She then phoned back a few minutes later, having spoken to our brothers, to say to find a hairdresser and make up artist and they will pay!! They're all :As :D

    So excited! :T
:heart::heart: Marrying my lovely man on 1st September 2012 :heart::heart:

They certainly sound amazing:j You will have a lovely relaxing wedding morning now while everyone runs round you:D

I've just ordered a white zipper which says Bride across the back from Confetti £9.99 instead of £24.99:D I plan to wear it to go to the airport in as i'm always cold in the aiport & on the plane. I know I won't need it once i'm in Rhodes but i always take a zipper with me & needed a new one so might as well let everyone know I'm a Bride:j

Also ordered some wine glass charms off ebay for the top table saying bride, groom, mother of the bride etc. The girl has been great & even ordered orange beads in especially for me as she didn't have them, can't wait for them to come. That was my 1st ever ebay purchase!

    How's everyone else doing?
Married the man of my dreams - 10th September 2012, St Paul's Bay Lindos :jIt was amazing.

White Sapphire - I almost didn't recognise you with the new profile pic ;) The dress is looking great, and yey for your fab siblings :j

Mine have started to pull through a bit for me as well now - me and pregnant teen sis are talking again. I've got my head around things a bit more and she's really pulled her finger out and started to get her life together. And my other sister has been living in Canada since October and she sent me an email this week saying she's home for a week from tomorrow :j Will be seeing her on Sunday afternoon and can't wait! She's also agreed to draw a picture of me and OH that we can use in the centre of our teatowel guestbook :D There's a wedding fayre at our venue this weekend so I'm taking the mother & MIL... If you don't hear from me again look out on the news - I'll be the one arrested for murder :rotfl:

Scotsbride - your list isn't too bad! Maybe break it down month by month if you're feeling overwhelmed?

Debbie, the suits sound really smart :) Wish I could get my boys in something like that, but I'm having trouble just getting my dad to wear a bog-standard suit :rotfl:

Natc - The price is very reasonable for the photographer, I'm a believer in you get what you pay for with photographers, but if you're getting good vibes make an appointment to go and see him. When you're there, make sure you see a FULL gallery of a wedding from start to finish - not just the best bits from several weddings and you'll really get a feel for how he runs the day. Also if possible ask for references/contact details from his previous brides - they'll give you an honest opinion as to his manner, whether he's been loud & pushy when organising groups etc. Has he shot a wedding at your venue before? If not, will he visit beforehand to suss out locations etc? Is four hours' enough for him to cover all of your day? I assist a pro wedding photographer as a part-time job so if you have any questions just chuck them my way.

Have a good weekend everyone  xxx

Fawny, I always have to pack something warm in my carry-on bag too! Love the sound of your zipper, although it's the first time I've heard them called that... :o
Wine glass charms sound fab, as does the seller!

Roz, sorry if I confused you! :p I was getting bored of that photo, so uploaded a different one, but of the same piggy (she's a proper camera floozie, so I have loads!)

I'm really glad that your pregnant sis is settling down a bit, and yay for your other, and very artistic, sis dropping in unexpectedly from Canada! :T Hope you have as much fun as can be at the wedding fayre; I'm hoping your Mum will take your side if MiL2B starts going Mumzilla on you? At least as long as you don't discuss the subject of flowers...

Did you say flowers?! :wall: Our buttonholes arrived on Saturday and are totally beautiful (I'll post a pic tonight when I get home). I didn't get chance to actually show them to my mum but she turned her nose up when I mentioned they'd arrived and that she wouldn't be able to tell that they're not real, so I went off into huge a rant about how it is our day and that flowers aren't top of our priority list so we're not blowing the budget on them, that WE are paying for most of the wedding for the sole reason that it means we can do what WE want, and that if anyone else says anything we are going abroad and getting married just the two of us :rotfl:

To be honest the fayre wasn't too bad, I think everyone behaved (at least to my face!!) :A

I really don't know what's wrong with me at the minute though, I've felt really unsettled and down recently and OH keeps walking into rooms to find me in tears for no apparent reason :o And I'm getting cross at the tiniest things - like at the fayre yesterday MIL2B asked about how much wedding albums from our photographer are because "they don't do digital", and whilst I know it's a reasonable question and I answered it, something inside me got really cross  Then I had a bath in the evening to try & relax me and decided to use a Bath Bomb I'd got for Xmas, but it made the water really oily and was like bathing in grease so I had to have a shower to wash the bath off me, and was in tears about it... OH is taking me out for some tea & retail therapy tonight to try and get me back on track, I hate feeling like this :(

I am so sorry you are going through a stressful time at the moment and it sounds like you tried to destress and then when it didn't go to plan it made you feel worse. Don't give up, take a time out and do something really nice and non-weddingy, and I hope you feel loads better soon. Debbie :)
