    Hi Liz,

Thats a difficult one. What dress is it? I wonder if anywhere else does one that looks more or less the same. Or could you have 2 with this dress & the other 2 with a different one that compliment each other?
Married the man of my dreams - 10th September 2012, St Paul's Bay Lindos :jIt was amazing.

  • Wow White_Sapphire that is an amazing hairstyle, I would be scared to have a go at that - so intricate!

OOO Im doing black, purple and silver!
For the m&S cake they often have offers on through the year BOGOF I think.....I am possibly going to have a m&s cake if I dont get a good price off someone at work! The only thing that has been mentioned is that the m&S are not very deep, so what i thought of using was polystyrene separators and attaching the flowers to that...just to chunk it out a little!
OOOoooo have you seen the tables done with a black table cloth, a purple satin runner with a black flock overlay on top....it looks lush!
I think thats what im going to have!
I ordered a purple dress from a chinese website.
But im considering getting black bridesmaid dresses.

t*ovi - with the cake im thinking of doing either just a cake stand where each tier sits independly of each other and getting ediable flowers to sit on top of each other sort of like this http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/120582463913?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1438.l2649

or maybe something like they show on m&s website with flowers between tiers maybe using foam roses.

The table setting you describe sounds lovely. I really dont know what we are going to have for centrepieces somedays i like fishbowls others i like 3 cylinder vases of different sizes!

With bridesmaids i decided on black because although i LOVE purple i cant find a shade i like and one which fits in with the other purple things i have planned and i dont want to have everything too purple lol

Lollie79...I see your in Newcastle, where you having your celebrations? Im goin to dainty supplies in washington tomorrow, as they have a florist who can do bouquets between £6 & £12, the florist I spoke to today said they have just had a delivery of loads of flowers, including a few shades of purple. I bought a fish bowl from B&M for £3.99 just so that I could do some test runs,

    I want mine like this:

    http://www.modelbride.com/content/005577.shtml

It probably won't look quite that good though, as I'm doing it myself!

Best place to start is by looking at loads of pictures of hairstyles (magazines, google, wedding websites) and see what takes your fancy. Then you can whittle it down from there - we'll help! :D

White_Sapphire that hairstyle is lush, are you planning on wearing a veil?

t*ovi - Let me know how you get on at dainty supplies i went there for supplies for my invitations i was like a kid in a sweet shop!!!
Im having my reception at Gosforth Civic Hall what about u?

White_sapphire dont wash your hair the night before as it will be too soft to put up. I used to be a hairdresser and always advised clients not to wash hair night before as its just to soft to work with.

    Hi all,

I have a question for all you lovely ladies re bridesmaids dresses...

I have found an absolutely gorgeous dress online at Oasis for my bridesmaids, but the only problem is, Oasis doesn't sell it any more!

I've found two on ebay for dead cheap, so I've put bids on them, thinking that if they don't fit right, I can use the money I've saved on them to get them taken in. But I still need another two - what are my chances of finding them before September?!

    L x

You'd be extremely lucky to get another two on ebay. Have you thought about contacting Oasis to see if they have any left in stock somewhere? If you explain that it's for bridesmaids' dresses someone might be able to help - the worst they can do is say no. If you don't have any luck there then I would go with Fawny's suggestion to find a complementing style.
Wow White_Sapphire that is an amazing hairstyle, I would be scared to have a go at that - so intricate!

Thanks! There are instructions for it, and it's not actually that complicated, just quite fiddly! It's basically a ponytail which has been curled and pinned in strategic places. I'll need to do a LOT of practice in the next seven months...

Thanks. I do have issues with greasy scalp though so normally wash it every day or it starts looking icky by mid-afternoon! I'll wash it the morning before then use dry shampoo on the roots on the day. And lots of mousse!
