here is my silver/platinum dress, that im not too sure on what veil to get....i think i want one just to dampen down the tattoos on my back.

I havent flashed it on here before cos i dont like the pictures on the internet, i looks much better in real life!

The ebay bridesmaid dress has come today, we bought a tester to see what its like before we order all of the bridesmaids.

Im not too keen on the back of the dress, but the front looks quite nice, and love the colour!

I think that bridesmaid's dress is lovely, and the colour is beautiful. If you're feeling a bit 'meh' about the style though, maybe keep looking rather than settle for something that's just OK. I've seen loads of dresses in that sort of shade.

That's so pretty!! I'm assuming that the photo is of someone without a petticoat? If so, it has some shape on its own but you'd probably want something to make sure it looks its best. There used to be a dressmaker who came on this board quite a lot, and she posted a thread about which petticoats go with which style of dress. I linked to it a day or two ago for someone else, so I'll go and track it down again.
*EDIT* That petticoats thread isn't as useful anymore, as a lot of the links which showed you the different petticoats and skirt styles don't work now. Sorry! Maybe speak to a bridal shop or local dressmaker and see what they suggest?

I love that dress!! The colour is amazing, and the simple beading and draping are just gorgeous!

OMG i am such a bafoon, we went today to give our notice of marriage, minus our birth certificates that we both had to order, and were sitting fresh in the envelope waiting to go!! If I cant get that right how am i going to manage a wedding!!!
Been thinking about what tunes we want played, as we are both rock fans i have ordered an orchestral version of some rock music....but when its got here its got people singing on them......whats that all about!!
This is a massive long shot but are any of yous fans of matchbox twenty? I love them, but cant think of a song, thats a happy love song. And im finding it really hard to find appropriate songs cos i hate all those soppy s**t songs!!

Looking at all the links & pics of the dresses we are all posting looks like we are all going to look stunning on our big day:D

Booked our appointment with the registar yesterday for June to get our CNI issued to say we are free to marry:j Good job I rung as the day I wanted was alrady fully boooked up:eek: so glad thats all booked in. I've tried my shoes on a few times & sadly I think i'm going to have to look for some others I can walk in them but I think they do feel too high & I have to think what i'm doing, so a bit worried I could trip on my dress. I will keep trying them round the house & then if I spot some others I can always try & sell these ones.

How are you all having your hair on the day? I was thinking I would not need to worry about it as i've a hairdresser booked & would leave it to her but then I realised that I would need to provide the clips, slides whatever I need so need to have some sort of idea or just buy stuff & see what she comes up with. I have shoulder lenght straigh hair, I do straighening it & ware it down when we go out but want it up on the day as it will blow all over when we go on the boat so don't want to end up looking like a scarecrow:eek:

Best place to start is by looking at loads of pictures of hairstyles (magazines, google, wedding websites) and see what takes your fancy. Then you can whittle it down from there - we'll help!

I have a question for all you lovely ladies re bridesmaids dresses...

I have found an absolutely gorgeous dress online at Oasis for my bridesmaids, but the only problem is, Oasis doesn't sell it any more!

I've found two on ebay for dead cheap, so I've put bids on them, thinking that if they don't fit right, I can use the money I've saved on them to get them taken in. But I still need another two - what are my chances of finding them before September?!
