I started making my veil, but have realised I really need the dress with me to do it properly (I suspected this, but wanted to give it a go anyway) as I need to get it to match the train length and shape. I've got a couple of photos of the fabric so will upload those soon.
Good news on the card for the invites Jo; make sure you show us piccies of your progress. My card arrived today - at least, I'm fairly sure that's what it is, as I have to pick it up from the sorting office. Really can't wait to get going!
I'm sure your friends will be kind - you're very organised getting it sorted this far in advance! :T

just wanted to say a big hi to everyone, i popped on this thread ages ago when we we're thinking about getting married but now its all final 29th september
and less then 9 months away! these few months are going to go so quickly. Not much is really sorted out yet
so lots of planning left to do, to be honest i dont want much fuss, i just want to marry my man
was so tempted to go abroad and get married but decided that would upset too many people. Anway, now getting married in the church i was christened and reception is going to be at village hall down the road
nice and simple. Taking my bridesmaids dress shopping tomorrow which should be interesting, i love this dress - http://www.bhs.co.uk/mall/productpage.cfm/bhsstore/657203/226867 and the colour, but im not really a pink person, wouldn't i have to then have pink sashes on the chair covers and such like? i really want to sort the colours out but i love pink and teal but want bunting and balloons for decoration. Im so rubbish at making descions, need a wedding planner!

Wow sapphire the pics are great veil material is lovely and your dress is really taking shape. Love the look of it it's gorgeous! EEk exciting keep us posted as to progress.
Hey Toni nice to see you again great you have the date booked everything will fall into place.
We've had a wedding whirlwind weekend! Kilt shopping yest and paid off some of the balance on our wedding bands (excuse to try on again....love them). Did a massive to do list last night...which is scary but ok!
Then today went to the big wedding fair here with my Mum. So good watching the fashion show!! So have emailed someone re cake! Hers was too pretty and the carrot cake was delicious! Originally we'd thought markies but....have emailed for a quote!
Then the big find was a woman doing keepsake bouquets...basically bouquets with beads and brooches etc. So me and Mum have decided to adjust what we are doing and pop some keepsakey things onto it!! Ebay and charity shops beckon!!!
Ah I love a bit of DIY.What's fur ye won't go by ye!0 -
Hi there Roz,
Just seen your post about Bristol hen dos. If you're going out round the harbourside I would recommend The Living Room (different from the lounge already mentioned!) It does nice cocktails, is a bit classier than your average pub and has a live pianist at the weekend.0 -

Welcome back toni!
Your wedding sounds like a lovely, intimate, unfussy affair. What have you got still to sort? We'll all pitch in and google/make suggestions etc if you need us to.
As for colours, pink and teal are lovely - if you don't want to over-pinkify(!) things, could you just have the bridesmaids in pink dresses, and most of the other decorations etc in teal? Perhaps with teal accessories for your maids and a bit of pink in your bouquet or whatever, to bring the colours together. As for balloons/bunting etc, maybe teal and white/ivory/cream?
I've just googled 'pink and teal wedding' and clicked to images, and this is the result: http://www.google.co.uk/search?q=pink+and+teal+wedding&hl=en&client=safari&rls=en&prmd=imvns&source=lnms&tbm=isch&ei=TVkUT5DkOIqXOv7hnYYD&sa=X&oi=mode_link&ct=mode&cd=2&ved=0CBoQ_AUoAQ&biw=1438&bih=717
Maybe that might help you decide what proportion of the different colours suits your style best.
