    T*ovi they look lovely.

My H2B got me the Kinect for the xbox for Christmas so have been playing some games on that. Last night we were doing a sking game & I must have jumped funny as suddenly I was in agony. I've really hurt my back, struggling to move. This morning it was so bad it took me an hour to be able to sit up & then walk as everytime I tried the pain was so bad I went sick & dizzy. It's eased up a bit now but still really bad:cry:

So fustrated as really needed to get lots of exercize in this week as having my measurement done for my dress on Sat up at my parents & still want to shift a few pounds put on over christmas. Hoping it wil feel a bit better tomorrow as have so much on at work I can't ring in sick:o

    Hope everyone is ok?
Married the man of my dreams - 10th September 2012, St Paul's Bay Lindos :jIt was amazing.

Aww, fawny, poor you! It can be so easy to damage your back; please rest it properly or you'll risk doing long-term damage. Your health is far more important than stupid work! And as for exercise, one week off will make no difference.

    Hope you get better soon.

Just sent you a friend request!

Good MSE-ing on the bridesmaid dresses! Which dress did you buy as a tester? One of the Chinese website ones? Some can be good, but it is completely pot luck!

Ive bought these as cake separators today, what do yas reckon? i think i might need the dowel things!

Very nice :) And you will definately need dowels under them otherwise they will sink with the top layer on. I'd say 5 dowels should suffice. But they have to be plastic. Not wooden as wooden can mold. :)

249 Days to go :D I hate the fact I've got everything pretty much planned. Just need the money now so I can buy the things. Oh and by the sounds of it, my 2 bridesmaids have been off looking at dresses without me....asking if I don't mind what dresses they get...:( Just once I want friends to include me. I thought the wedding would bring us closer together, I was obviously wrong.

Got to get my cake designed and priced up as well. (I'm making my own)

Sorry for just jumping straight in here :D
What's yours is mine and what's mine is mine..
  • Eeek hello ladies well things have become rather real for some reason this week. Just feel like time is marching on :)

Humanist contacted us about membership etc. so that's done.
Bridesmaids tried on dresses all together and looked amazing!! I cried! Delighted with their dresses.
And we planned the all important HENNY!! So we're off down to Glasgow for a weekend cannot wait!! Told the girls the tackier the better!!
Chocolate fountain booked which is a per head cost therefore perhaps underestimated our daytime numbers.....

Next on list is: kilt shopping and making the invitations, get our pre wedding shoot done and use a pic to send out save the dates and the hotel booking details :)

Although side tracked...looking at cakes on markies as that's where we're going to get it from. They do a cheese cake now (i.e. actual cheese not the pudd) this changes EVERYTHING :)

Been a while since I've been on so I shall try to catch up.

Welcome new brides and special welcome to my fellow 8th brides nice choice ;)

Autumnbride85 - I have had a few anxiety dreams oh my they are crazy...a woman from work was doing my hair in one. She thougth I had a screw loose when I told her the next day (she's maybe right)

Roz_V - Love the jaegar toast idea...we always get jaegar bombs for pudding at weddings...the hotel soon realise what's going on then!! A wedding just after we got married they had ordered extra in...we finished the lot :) I like your to do list for the next 3 months in fact I might nab it!

White Sapphire - you sound like you've marched on lately excellent how is the dress going? Bet it's looking great. We are starting to think about rooms etc. MIL thought they would arrive on the morning of the wedding (they stay 3 hours away) I did snap at her...does she not want to see her boy the night before he gets married. They are staying now... Great re makeover I love the Liz Arden Double Wear but am just SO stuck on mascara argh! Invite idea looks great too very clever!!

T*ovi - Love the idea of those chair covers in your venue they will look fabbie in that room!

fawny - I might try more of the liz arden stuff then!! I use boots no 7 primer it's a white tube and just £10 and it's FAB! My foundation doesn't budge. Then for eyeshadow it's a purple little tube...will need to check but again stops it creasing etc! Registrar yuck defo call the other place how mean!! Re bridesmaid just point out to her it's MUCH easier to take a dress in than out... When I was buying mine my bridemaid ordered a size up as she was worried about putting on weight (following an illness and op) but I'd rather she did that and it's too big as it's a much simpler alteration. Size is just a number I'm sure she will look gorgeous. How is your back I fully sympathise having suffered in the past. Rest heat ice and ibuprofen...if it continues seek help!!

Bubbles0169 - WOW! That dress is truly beautiful!! Really lovely!! the one shoulder is so fab!

Smoochers to all you lovelies. Watching Celebrity Wedding Planner so glad I'm planning my own :)

Welcome nenaromanova! :hello: You have been added to our list for the 15th - check the first post to find your date twins :D

It's a shame that your maids went shopping without you; maybe they wanted to take some of the pressure off you or thought you would be too busy? They should have contacted you beforehand though. Just make clear to them that you want to go accessories shopping all together cos you really want a nice girly day out shopping!

I also have to price up my cake; I'm hoping to get a tier each made by me, my mum and my MIL2B, with different flavours. Hopefully get that one sorted sometime this month.

Oh, and it's 236 days for me! Aaagghh, it was nearly 600 days when I started this thread!!

Welcome back Jo! You have been missed :)

Yay for the bridesmaids' dresses! They must look stunning if they made you cry :)

I've been reliably informed that Glasgow is a great night out, so no doubt you'll have loads of fun - how much of it you'll remember the next day is a different matter though... ;):p
I've had an idea for my hen. One of my colleagues mentioned that she'd been on a boat-trip-based pub crawl on Bristol's floating harbour for someone's birthday, and they'd all dressed as pirates, sang sea shanties, and shouted random pirate-style things at people!! I WANT THAT lol! :T Maybe with dinner and an evening at a comedy club after. Don't know whether to tell my MoH that that's what I want, or to let her surprise me with her own ideas. I trust her, and she knows not to do the whole clubbing thing for me as it's not my thing, so we'll see!

I'm off to my parents' house tomorrow for more wedding dress sewing, so hopefully will have lots more piccies for you all tomorrow evening! I'm very excited about it, as now I have the actual fabric I have a much better idea of how it will look in the end - I may request a glass of something bubbly to celebrate its completion... :D

I'm going to Bristol for my hen :j:j It's a loooong way for us (we're all travelling from either Sheffield or Manchester) but I'm sooooo excited! The package includes two nights at a 4* hotel (& cooked breakfast both mornings, I suspect this will be needed!), 2hr Cocktail making on the Friday night inc. a buffet, spa day inc. one treatment on the Saturday, then a 3 course meal on the Saturday night. You Bristol ladies will have to let me know where is best for further drinks on the Friday (fairly low-key & classy) and the Saturday (tacky & drunken!) :rotfl:

Can't wait to see the latest dress pics Sapphire :)

Jo, sounds like you've got quite a few things sorted!

Neneromanova, You're my date twin :D Eeeek it's getting close now! 293 days...

My task for today: Chair Covers... Don't really want them but the venue chairs are hideous!! It wasn't really a wedding venue when we first discovered it, but it's been taken over and the new managers are pushing it. They've just put a website up for anyone who wants to nosy, it's here - no gatecrashers on the day though please ;):rotfl:
