So has anybody tried out the berketex bride sale? Im supposed to be going at 3.30 this afternoon. But I have already been in and tried on quite a few dresses, but they were all tiny sizes on the display, and all i got was imagine if it fitted properly, which is hard when i just seemed to be falling out all over the place. Im a size 14 (at the minute) and just looked loads bigger than what i am!

    Hi All,

    Hope we are all well.
Scotsbride - hope your venue has sorted your forms out, I hate waiting for people to sort things out. Sorting them out in january I haven't been that well so been concerntrating on studying and getting better wedding plans put temporarily on hold. although looking at dresses again on 7th!

Well my grandmother has a lot to answer for!!! (see quote from her above!)

My 18 year old sister announced at Christmas that she's dropping out of uni, moving in with her scrubber of a boyfriend (they've been together 6 months) and is pregnant

My mum and dad were due to contribute 2k to our wedding + 1k for the honeymoon, how can I possibly accept that money now? Our budget is only 6.5k so it's a massive chunk that we may now potentially be without.

I have spent the whole "festive" season so far in tears and the thought of planning my wedding makes me feel sick & selfish. I just can't get my head around any of it, and it feels like my whole family is falling apart

You can't just put that and leave us hanging for details!! ;)

White_Sapphire, great news about your honeymoon

Fawny, my OH got all teary at midnight too. He's not a soppy person so I was surprised, but then seeing his hangover today (he is STILL in bed!!!) maybe it was more Jagermeister than emotion...

Thanks all for the kind words re. my sister. I've spoken to my parents today and they've said my wedding is their priority & everything we had spoken about is still AOK, but I'm still worried about the effect on the family :(

Happy New Year everyone, it's going to be an exciting one!!!
