    just phoned

no luck !!! would not budge on giving me any offer.

made excuses that they hold no offers and that offers are given by them externally via phone or post.

oh well, back to the repeats and damn price increase
  • Nor me!!!..............but will keep trying till i get 1/2 price too! :rotfl:
  • HI ALL
I Am really happy with myself today.

I tried about 8 times in last 4 weeks to get sky for halfprice but customer services always told me they dont have any offer available on my account for me.

Previously i used sky half price for about 12 months, but they seems to be extra careful this time.

You know i really missed my sky for half price in past one months, in fact i rang them today to get the full pacakage even with full price, but it seems the LUCK GOD was kind to me.

I went via Disney Channel Helpline 0800 279 2000. Choose option 1 to get through to Sky Customer Services.

Without giving any details about the account , i Told them i used to be with sky and thinking about joining "DIGITAL TV" (NOT SPECIFICLY SKY) , i have phones NTL and know what they are offering just want to know whats can SKY offer me.

The person told me he dont know but he can transfer me to a department which can help, after 9 seconds of wait i was talking to someone who can help and offered me halfprice for 3 months for any pacakge i like. after a 12 minutes of confirmation i am watching my full sky pacakge for half price. But story dont end here, he said he is going to send me vouchers for HMV as well.

I AM SO GLAD THAT I RANG SKY TODAY. ;)
  • Hi Royal,

Ntl are currently doing free sky sports for 12 months with the family package which is £19.50 per mth.

But the catch is you have to sign up to a call plan. So with the family package, free sports and the basic call pack including line rental, you pay £32 per mth.

Well that doesn't sound half bad to me.

So I'm gonna call sjy and tell 'em I'm changing and see what they can offer me. If they can't do anything great, I'm changing.

Unless any extra careful MSEer's have scrutinised the package and reckon it's not so good a deal.
I ave a dodgy H, so sometimes I will sound dead common, on occasion dead stupid and rarely, pig ignorant. Sometimes I may be these things, but I will always blame it on my dodgy H.

Sorry, I'm a bit of a grumble weed today, no offence intended ... well it might be, but I'll be sorry.

Just coming to the end of a 3months @ half price for the movies package.
Called them yesterday to cancel, and was told that they are extending the offer for another 3 months. Now does anyone know how to get the kids away from the remote and free me up from MUSIC TELEVISON!!
  • :T Have phoned sky this morning and got our 3 months half price, what a saving £20.50 a month, hope they will extend it after the 1st 3 months. :j

I called Sky yesterday to cancel. I was then trasferred to the "Cancellations" dept. The guy gave me some spin about how I was in luck, they were able to offer me the 3 months half-price offer. He tried for a few minutes to get me to take the offer but I stuck to my guns, I cancelled!!
  • Just rang they offered me either 1/2 price package for 3 months or Sky+ box for £49 inc. installation...obviously I asked why not both and she laughed at my bare faced cheek...went for Sky+ in end and got rid of (waste of money) Film 4 - chuffed to bits with £49 for Sky+
