I'm absolutely delighted. Just phoned Sky to cancel and got the 3 months half price offer. I've only been reading these boards for a few weeks and it's saved me a fortune already. Thanks everyone!0

Have just taken up my THIRD 3 month half price deal!! (is this a record??)
I phoned up to cancel (was actually planning to cancel this time as we're going away for a month) and was surprised to be offered the deal again!! I didn't ask for it - just said I wanted to cancel and explained why!! The guy said that Sky were planning to stop doing this deal soon and concentrate on offering deals to customers that have never been offered a deal but it was probably rubbish!!0 -

No, you either have to cancel, change package, or the package automatically goes back to its original price.0 -
I have sky family pack at half price too, now going onto my second lots of 3 mths, To be honest I really was going to cancel as with me spending a good bit of time on the internet £20 a mth would have been a waste of money...but as long as they continue to give the family pack to me at £10 a mth I will stay with them0

had an offer leaflet in the post this morning "come back to sky" type thing offering half price packages for 3 months PLUS a free british lions rugby shirt or £40 worth of jjb sports vouchers! phone and quote "roar1"
quite chuffed as we were going to phone up for offers anyway after reading this thread! may try for the £49 sky plus too.........0 -
Mum26, just check that you're not going to have to sign up for 12 months minimum with this welcome back offer that they've sent you.
If you are....you'd be better just haggling for a half price offer each quarter independently and spending your own money at JJB (if you really wanted to, but that's a whole other story probably exhausted on the Vent Board already!)."One day I realised that when you are lying in your grave, it's no good saying, "I was too shy, too frightened."
Because by then you've blown your chances. That's it."0 -
Just put the phone down on SKY, this was my second attempt to get the SKY+ DEAL (£49) and was succesful, the 1st phone call said the deal was no more..but she did offer me the £99 deal+multiroom which i refused.
2nd phone call straight through to cancellations, told them my existing skybox is faltering(true..but you can use this method if you want) and instead of replacing like for like i asked about the £49 pound refurb, and also pointed out that i have been with SKY for around ten years and without no default payments ect ect( lay it on thick) he went of to find some sort of supervisor and he came back with the good news, did not threaten to cancel or anything like that...well happy, installation on thursday0
