I got my tele eye from ebay - there's diffrent styles so pick one that suits you.
IIRC there was somewheer that did a tele eye + remote for 15 quid.
I got my eye for about 7quid delivered.

Just rang sky, had a bit of trouble getting through to cancellations but once through I openly said I was ringing about sky+ for £49. The gentleman said no problem, no hasle to take multiroom and it is being fitted on Saturday.
The bonus is I have still got over 2 months half price viewing before I need to look at reducing my package.
Thanks for all the posters on here.LBM 12.09.12 - £53K in debt.
DFD - 11.07.2019 (OMG).
New DFD is 28.10.2018 due to paying the absolute maximum.
Thanks to everyone on the DMP forum, and to SC for helping me out of this huge hole.0 -
I rang up sky again this month...previous 1/2 price deal ran out on the 26th May waited until 01/06 and rang up giving the usual chatter about financial reasons for cancelling (plus footy season ending and E4 on Freeview) and a nice man in the cancellations department offered me 1/2 price for 3 months.
This is now the 3rd one on the trot (give or take a few days as they wont do them back to back) It makes Sky an affordable commodity at £16.50 a month. Thanks agin MSE 9 x 16.50 saved in last 10 months.....bargaintastic..Nice to save.0 -
My husband tried last night. When he got through to cancellations he told the lady that his friend had just got sky+ for £49. She said she had never heard of the offer but would check with her manager. She checked and came back with 'there has never been such an offer and he must have been mis-informed'.
Anyway gonna get him to try again this afternoon.0 -

FTA stands for Free To Air.. IE Free channels. These dont usually need a card to view.

So would this include CBeebies or E4? What other FTA channels are there?
Would a local TV engineer be able to hook up our old Sky box in another room after we had had Sky + fitted, using our original card for the Sky +? Thanks0 -

Without any prompting the lady on the other end said "I've got just the thing for you" and offered me the £49 sky+ no mention of me having to take multi room.
There comming in the morning to fit it.
