    It's so easy

    4 cloves garlic - peeled
2 chillies (I used scotch bonnets) halved
    2 tbsp olive oil
    Chicken breast sliced

Mash the chilli and garlic and 2 tsps of the oil in a pestle and mortar to make a paste

Heat rest of the oil in a wok add the paste and stir fry for 4 mins then add chicken stir fry till cooked slosh in some soy sauce and serve with rice or noodles!!

Hi all, many thanks for the warm thoughts re the funeral:A.It went really well-as much as these things ever can.Lots and lots of people came so that was nice.Had a good chat after with my cousins who i dont see often enough. It was a sobering thought that we are now' the older generation',as DAuntie was the last of her brothers and sisters-my DDad was her brother. She had a good send off anyway.

Wmf:wave:-thanks for asking,DS2 eczema is pretty good at the moment, not had a bad flare up for a good while-touch wood.Glad your DS is improved too.He lost quite a lot of weight and has been eating healthier, which I think helps(still smoking though :( )He has a girlfriend now too so things are good for him at the moment.:jHis brother hasnt met anyone else yet after his relationship broke up,but he is happier in himself.

Not much OS in this post sorry, but we all ate plenty at the 'do' after the funeral so didnt want any tea-does that count ?

Sounds like the date went well Flutterby :D

PS- next door has loads of snowdrops in their garden -theyre gorgeous.

    Evening all,

Cold and wet here all day...to be dry for the next couple of days so maybe can line dry washing tomorrow....seems to be all over the place at present.

    Nic...hope that you are ok

Redruby.....hope that your mum feels better soon....has she been eating properly??

Happy Burns Night to all Scots...even JackieG!

Spag bol from freezer for us tonight.

Don't tell anybody this, but I ironed 4 pairs of trousers this morning....am a bit worried about myself, not sure when I picked up iron before.

Man has not come back to fix taps in downstairs en suite, dripping is driving me nuts every time I go in there and sink is stained too...no point in taking off stain until problem is fixed.

Had a bit of good news yesterday, we no longer have to pay for tv license, and have 200 electricity units free per month....all because OH is 70, there will be a telephone reduction too, but haven't been advised of that yet...at least it means that my horrendous bill is negated so feeling rich...but car needs to be serviced next week and who knows what will need replacing?

Hugs to all in need or want of one

  • Evening all :)

Well it's champagne and caviar all round today as OH finally got paid! :j Sadly half of it is owed out to my parents and other places as we had to borrow to get by  At least now we've got enough money now to last us until the beginning of March.

We had the new dog neutered today so there has been NO moneysaving. He's all over the place atm as he's not certain we won't abandon him again. Although he's currently asleep on top of my feet on the setee!

Dinner tonight was tua melt wedges; lovely, but I still feel sick every time I eat anything, so I didn't enjoy it as much as I usually do.

We're just watching My Big Fat Gypsy Wedding, then Shameless then it's off to bed. We've had a couple of unsettled nights with the new addition, but he's getting much better.

Hope every one is ok and hugs to thos who need them :)
