Just registered ours. Thanks OP.0

I have tried to register my card also but it won't allow pre pay customers. I top up my gas from home, so thought it would be possible. Tried calling the number posted on here but its just an automated message. If anyone knows a number or contact email for pre pay customers, could you please pm with the details as it would really help. Thanks.0

Thanks for the details of the nectar points when you use british gas. I too have pay as i go electric and card for gas. They only put the gas on my nectar card. I emailed them and they have now added my electric (they said because it is pay as i go it incurrs more paperwork but they have now done it and showed me online in email). Anyway waffling on, I saw this on another site today to get 100 NECTAR POINTS for entering your home insurance or pet insurance details. Simple. Good luck. Heres link:

If you link from the nectar button on the british gas home page (after logging in to your british gas accounts) the first set of nectar numbers are already shown and it seems to accept the remaining numbers.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. Nectar points aint that good anyway but it helps buy a few things at xmas which is always welcome. It only works out roughly £9.50 for 1800 points
1,800 points gets you £9.00, the equation is 2pts per £0.01.
In some store you collect 2pts per £1 you spend, others may have differing values (e.g. BP 1pt per Ltr of Fuel, or Amazon.co.uk 1pt per £1)
Whilst 500pts is the minimum redemption (£2.50 in reward Value) this can be spent on a number of websites like amazon.co.uk, in Sainsbury's or Argos, but can be traded up double value with certain partners (thus making 1pt = 1p) [Merlin Entertainment for one - Alton Towers, Warwick Castle etc.]
I still prefer Tesco Clubcard points to Nectar, but you can collect Nectar points in more areas and from more suppliers than you can Tesco points.Long time MSE member… just sitting in silence in the background.
