I hope that makes sense.
Wasn't working for me this morning but have just registered successfully 5 mins ago.0 -
Has anyone received the 100 points for registering?? I set up a british gas online account and have put nectar card details in but have not had 100 points for registering as mentioned on the homepage?0

Only auto message on the freephone number
You need to enter the 2nd (8 x numbers) and 3rd (3 x numbers) block of numbers only, BUT do not enter a space! Enter all 8 and 3 numbers without any space between them. If you try to enter a space, then there will be insufficient room to enter the last number - and you will see that, as it will not appear when typed in.
The 1st block (928.....) is already pre-entered, so don't enter that at all.
Then the registration should work just fine0 -
I've tried inputting my nectar card number and it says that I've entered it incorrectly. I've tried it several times with different parts. Has this happened to anyone else? :mad:0

I just tried this but it still says the number I've entered is incorrect. It's definitely not.0 -

I haven't seen those added either. Points total shows Zero.
Also, I cannot see any way of actually registering the fact that you may already be on Direct Debit etc. to ensure you receive the correct due points. The same applies for finding some means of registering for paper free billing or for registering for online meter readings. It seems you can actually submit a meter reading, but not register for it permanently, so that you can be advised of when to submit (as we used to be able to do with EDF).
As a shareholder of Centrica, I think that this shows them to pretty dumb in actually setting up a good navigable website. Not much better than BT et al.
These complacently large companies are interested only in making a new sign-up easy, not actually helping their existing customers to organise and maintain their personal accounts.0 -
Thanks, Barney.
I'm always glad to get something for nothing.
It worked fine!:j0 -

Unlike many posters, my Nectar card was recognised immediately - in fact it shows the same card twice, which I presume is once for my gas account and once for my electricity account (?)
I had already registered for DD, paperless billing and pretty much everything else, only my points total hasn't picked it up either, let alone the 100 points for registering. I wonder if it'll all resolve itself once I submit my next set of meter readings later this week, or maybe after the next payment...0
