thanks! checked my online Nectar account (use mine for Amaxon too, gotta love them!) copy and pasted the number, then the last 11 digits, still wont accept it. Was quite amusing when I rang Nectar and they said 'British Gas isnt part of the Nectar programme ...' when I explained she went 'oh ...is it? ah ...yes it is!' bless!

they can't see any reason why it won't accept my card number so said ring them ...only the 0800 number for BG is an automated message telling you they will be joining Nectar in the new year! methinks we are too quick for them, will try them tomorrow, hopefully will be fine then xx

Thats odd hope you get sorted. I am chasing nectar for Amazon points that didnt get paid triple points in December for a tv I got. Its says I should get credited within 28 days I ordered tv on 12th dec and it arrived on 24th

Funny you should say that, Im waiting for some as well, just realised - was the same thing - triple points, should have thought to ask when I rang to confuse them about British gas!!

As far as I am aware the Nector scheme with BG goes live on 31 January 2011. Staff have been getting the info in the last week.

Hi just wanted to say thanks for the heads up but the british gas site doesnt recognise my card number either, contacted nectar and they confirmed the number is correct as stated on the card and said to ring british gas so will do tomorrow ........... thought they might of sorted stuff like this out before offering the chance to register tho just like british gas to make a hash of it:)

I too had problems registering my card as it is meant to show the first group of digits already. You then enter the last two groups. I had to come out of the page, go back to my home page and register from there. Had to do this three times and then the numbers appeared before the box where you enter your number. I hope that makes sense.

I had to log into my BG account before completing the part where i had to input my nectar card numbers.:money:
