I buy mine from the above website. It seems kind of expensive but it lasts for ages. I clean the clumps out everyday and do the whole tray about every 2-3 weeks.0 -

And some reviews are from people with 4 cats claiming they only use 2 bags per month - wondering if those are indoor only cats.... sigh....
Will order 2 bags and see how it goes...
And 1 bag of thise one, for research purpose....
Hi!
I have four indoor only cats too :j
I use the top litter in your quote - but yeah I read that about 2 bags a month - no chance - I buy 3-4 bags every payday (depends whether it works out a 4 or 5 week 'month' between pays) it DOES track but its fab and I don't find it as 'smelly' as others.
Cats best is THE WORST litter for tracking - I got fed up of hoovering, and then the price shot up from £4.99 a bag to whatever ridiculous price it is now so I made the switch.
(p.s I've no idea how the lady above made 1 bag last that long!! kudos to you... haha no way did I manage to be so litter frugal - how many trays do you have?) I got one of the huge sacks of oko plus from a cat show and that only lasted about 2.5 months tops (and yes I did only take out the lumps, my cats must pee and poop for England!)
Let us know how you get onProud meowmy of four fuzzy cats0 -
CheeseCat - thanks, I was just thinking my cats poo and pee for England and wondered how people manage to scoop once or twice per day and use so little litter... I seem to be scooping all day long every few minutes and half of the litter box content is out in 2 days max... even if I fill it in really deep....
Feed them less and hide the water...:rotfl:0 -

Especially as they seem to delight in queuing up to go in the 'fresh trays' as soon as they are scooped :rotfl:
Ours are quite fussy, if its a little smelly in there they won't go and just keep hassling me until I realise which of their three demands need to be met:
1. Someone's been in the litter tray before me mum -eeew
2. The water isn't quite deep enough for my liking (but I still managed to dip my tag in and i'm going to drip it all over you)
3. Can I have my dinner early/a treat/what you're eating?
Sometimes I do all three before I realise which one was needed. What a terrible cat-mum I am!
Sorry - went off on one there
I don't think I gave 'cats best' enough credit to be fair - I guess it depends what qualities you'd rather have as I don't think there is ever a completely perfect litter (doesn't track, clumps well, smells nice, lasts a long time, good price - etc) Its very very good at clumping and odour control, just a really light litter so it sticks to their feet (clean bits, not the dirty litter) and they walk it everywhere, even with the litter tray mat underneath.
Just to throw another idea out there though - do you have anywhere near you that sells chick crumb? (a jollyes pet store or similar?) Yep, it's chick feedbut its also a really good cat litter and works out really cheap. I have heard people say it works as well as World's Best cat litter which is another popular clumper but i've never splashed out as its expensive so I can't vouch. Well worth a try - I stopped using it when my local supplier seemed to always be low or out of stock - I think the other cat ladies caught on :rotfl:

Heard abut that chicken feed but never seen it anywhere - perhaps will search online and try.... sigh...
Just scooped both litter boxes for the 8736536053 time today...., can hear the scratching and digging already....0 -
Googled the chick thingy - same price as litters so.. what is the point really?0

Its cheaper than litter if you're not buying it online - at least it used to be a couple years ago. I found it didnt work out very worth it online as it cost so much to send and I only found places that sold it in small bags online, whereas I could buy however much I needed (from a big scoop/bin) in Jollyes.Proud meowmy of four fuzzy cats0
