I feel that there will be as many opinions about cat food as there is cat [STRIKE]slaves[/STRIKE] owners on the forum.

As long as cats are happy with the food, there is no problem, is there.

Topic is about cat litter though....:A

so it's relative. When feeding Felix & Go-cat the quantity & stench was far greater than when I changed feeding to Burns & Bozita or A Carny.:T In addition there was more of it to clean!

    Hi there
I have 9 cats. 8 of which are indoor only (Have access to a run)

I use OKO plus. I love it despite the fact it tracks. Having this many cats means I have to hoover every day anyway!

I feed animonda carny TINS (not rafine or any other strain), Bozita TINS and Smilla TINS. As a dry food I feed Orijen. I can highly recommend you read these threads written by the lovely Hobbs over on petforums. She has spent a lot of time and you get to see a breakdown of the majority of foods you can think of, both wet and dry. She has also researched and contacted the companies to get the ACTUAL meat content and you will also be able to see which are grain free :). Hope this helps a wee bit :)

I am familiar with those threads already but I am sure they will be useful for other people.... :)

I feed my dog Orijen, wanted cats on it too but none of them was interested... :(

Tesco clumping has arrived this morning:

    IDShot_225x225.jpg

Though I try this as someone recomended and it is cheap so not much "financial risk".

Split one bag between the 2 massive trays I got...

    1) It looks terrible, this is NOT sand like consistency or "slightly more coarse" as one would expect from clumping litter

    2) Half a day of use, it does not clump, not at all.... - and it STINKS already - sigh

Total waste of money, ordered 3 bags - sigh.....

Well, will be using the PAH wood based one, got 10 bags of 30 litres each. Then will probably go to PAH clumping that was really clumping...

No idea why Tesco cals this one clumping litter, it does not clump at all.... sigh...

Yeah I just ordered that and I must say, I'm finding the stink really terrible, Lidl's cat litter hides the pong a lot better.

I only have 2 cats and do the trays twice a day, but if one of them has wee'd and I come back into the flat, blimey it hits me straight away. I don't want people to think I have a whiffy house!

Ooh, there are so many posts to get through on these threads Gettingready!
First things first.....we need, no HAVE to get MORE pictures of the gang. Nothing makes me smile more than seeing Zara and her kitten-fan-club.
Second...have you tried sainsburys clumping litter...£1.99 for 8litres, does not smell, traps whiffs and does clump.
Thirdly....regrading the fuel for the litter trays, ie the kitten's food. Am I right in thinking that it is the boys with runny poops and that one of them likes raw meat? (Sorry if we have covered this before) Have you tried feeding raw or cooked plain meat for a few days to see if this firms things up?

Paddypaws - you always right ;)

Girls do not have runny poo, boys do.

All 4 eat exactly the same (including occasional raw)

    Hmmmmm

Tesco clumping - never again, will have to completely change the boxes by this evening, does NOt clump at all, massive size "granules" that have sharp edges too, stinks like... like you know what - bleeeeeeeeeeeeee :(

    More photos? You sure? LOL

  • I have 3 cats but one stays outside the other does its business outside :rotfl: so my 5 month old kitten uses Tescos Absorbent Odour Control cat litter

Its the best cat litter we've used, my auntie just lifts her business when she does it and cleans the tray weekly. There is no smell whatsoever from it
