Hi all, I've just caught up with your posts and I'm glad everyone is well. My booking in appointment last weekend seemed to indicate that I'd barely go three weeks without some kind of appointment.

I'm fed up at the moment. Our trip to Paris so far has been half ruined by the pregnancy. A heat wave arrived just as we did and I've not coped with sightseeing in 32 degree heat. I was retching on the Eirostar, I've had whole days of indigestion and I'm tired all the time. Walking up steps exhausts me so the metro is a chore and after seeing one attraction I'm so tired and hot I just want my air-conditioned hotel room. Half ghe clothes ive brought with me either no longer fit of are getting uncomfortable. As if all that wasn't bad enough my back ache is so bad it's debilitating. I get to the point that I'm virtually crying for a sofa/armchair/bed to lay back in to ease the pain but all there is are hard upright chairs in cafes and buses. I wish we were coming home but we're moving onto the south of France for a week in the morning. I feel like I've ruined it for my OH, who is really looking after me, and wasted all our money. :(

According to my scan I'm 14+5 today, when does it get better?

    Hi Kynthia

Sorry to hear you are having a bad time of late, I went to Paris last year just for the day (cruise stop) and that was bad enough walking from sight to sight being hurried in each location etc I was so glad to be back on the coach heading back to the ship that day! I can only imagine how you are feeling now. do you have much planned in the south of France? will that be more relaxing?

Since Tuesday (15+4) I have felt more energised, less tired though my back ache and headaches are still here but I suffered from them before I got pregnant anyway. I have managed to stay up past 10pm the last couple of nights! Maybe if you get some extra energy in the next few days you might start to feel better (fingers crossed).

If not, could you plan your day in segments ie morning sightseeing, have lunch, then chill in the afternoon before going out for evening meal. Day 2 - complete rest day, Day 3 - whole day out but have an extended lunch (so your sat for a good hour or so) and an early night Day 4 - rest in the morning, maybe pop out in the afternoon etc. I have never been to the South of France so I do not know what there is to do and see?

I hope you start to feel better soon and try and have a good rest of holiday x x x x

Hi Kynthia, sorry you've had a bit of a rubbish time in Paris... Paris is a tiring city even if you're feeling fit and energised! Be kind to yourself, you're not super woman after all! I like mrs Bunnys idea of planning a slow schedule so you're not trying to keep up with something unrealistic.
It's different for everyone i guess but I started to feel more energised at around 14-15 weeks I think, still not at full pre-pregancy levels though! I'm annoyed if I'm not in bed by ten each weeknight, and on the weekends I try and sleep in...

Kynthia so sorry to hear you are not enjoying Paris as much as you hoped. Hopefully next week will be a bit more relaxing.

I have been working extra hours to try and get a wee pile of pennies set aside for maternity leave and I will need to get a few things on ebay to add to the pot. It looks like I am going to be induced earlier that I hoped so I have less time to get organised and save.

Sorry to hear that kynthia. I still don't feel 100% but starting to feel better in spurts. Take it easy if you can x

My latest bump photo at 23+2, I'm actually amazed how much bump has gone recently. Definitely 20w pop!

Kynthia, I was feeling lousy until around 16w. It does get better I promise you xx

Sorry Kynthia had a bad time in Paris.....I actually feel better now than I did pre-pregnancy (sorry if that annoys anyone), I think it's not having periods as I was so anaemic before and so tired all the time from it.

I don't have backache as such but I have terrible "bum" ache! My buttocks are so painful, I don't know if it's nerve, muscle or bone! Is it sciatica, I have no idea. When I get up in the night to go to the loo it hurts so much and sometimes I have such awful twinges during the day it shocks me. It's a bit worrying!

What a cute little bump kerri! Mine is a combination of bump and bloat I think!

Oh gosh Kerri, I am so jealous of your tiny neat bump. Nearly 24 weeks and you could easily hide that I'm sure!

I'm finding it quite a struggle to lug around my gut already :( The size isn't me or baby so it must be placenta or fluid or something pushing it all out.

Oh please don't be jealous, in jeans and tshirt I don't look pregnant and I'd absolutely love to be looking properly pregnant. OH keeps pointing out all the men that stare at my boobs when we're out, especially going round the SM, what's worse is i live in tshirts so nothing low cut to warrant looking.

Sorry that you've got pains jox, does a warm shower help?

Kerri my boobs haven't appeared yet, think I've said before i've only ever reached a 34C and that was while breastfeeding! Your bump has grown since the last one you posted! Not sure if this will work but this is me at 21 + weeks. Defo popped out since my 20 week scan! We are now back from our hols and had a lovely time.

Jox sorry to hear you are all achy and yuck. Also Kynthia - I do feel for you having a cr*p holiday. I'm sure your OH doesn't mind. Part of being on holiday is resting and recuperating and hopefully you'll be able to do that a bit more outside Paris. Hope it's lovely and warm in the South for you!

Lily - lovely to hear your news. I'm glad little one is behaving and that she's growing well. Will catch up with you on the big thread soon!

Becca - very organised with NCT classes! How much were they in the end? We did ours at about 34/35 weeks iirc and it was a good time to do them. It was all starting to feel a bit more "real" by then! Birdie have you found any info out about ones local to you yet?
