can i quietly and nervously move up into this thread please?
Had my 12 week scan today, baby measuring fine, if an awkward beggar to actually measure so i feel quite bruised now, she kept jabbing me to get it to move but it wouldn't go into the position she wanted!
Bought our first little baby thing as a celebration - a set of three babygros from Next which DH picked out. Don't think we'll buy much more before the anamoly scan as i'm superstitious and beside, we should be exchanging contracts on our house soon so we'll have all that sort of stuff to buy first! xLittle Lowe born January 2014 at 36+6

Lovely to see you here TL
I'm having a bit of a rubbish time of it at the moment. Has anyone been watching The White Queen on TV? Last nights episode had me in floods of tears and my friend is calling and texting me quite a lot at the moment too. To be honest, I'm finding her a little bit overwhelmingI feel like a terrible person for saying that.
I'm looking forward to discussing stuff with the consultant in a couple of weeks. It's really silly, but I sort of need a focus and knowing how the monitoring will potentially pan out helps. I have been thinking about delivery a little bit recently too and I'm wondering whether to discuss induction. I might be getting a bit ahead of myself there though.14th October 201020th October 20113rd December 20130 -
Aww Lily I saw that episode *big hugs* It must be comforting for your friend to speak to you as someone that's been through the same, although I understand it must be very hard on you too. They do say that talking is the best therapy. But you could always mention something to her if it's getting too much, you don't want to stress yourself out with the little one on the way.
My sister has a doppler that I'm going to borrow, do you have one or one you can borrow to help reassure you between appointments? When is your next appointment?Diary: Getting back on track for 2013 and beyondDEBT FREE 13-10-13 :dance::dance::dance::dance:

I think it would probably tip her over the edge if I said anything. For now, I'll just 'shut up and put up' as my husband said
I have a Doppler. My fears are mostly irrational ones that no-one can do anything about. I just need the next 20 weeks to come very quickly14th October 201020th October 20113rd December 20130 -
Lily I used to volunteer for Nightline, which is similar to Samaritans and one of the things they said in the training was whilst it's important to have empathy for the callers it's also very important to look after yourself and get yourself back to 'normal' after the call, which i think is very hard for you to do at the moment as obviously it's bring back memories and not helping your fears about this pregnancy.
what i'm trying to say is, take good care of yourself. make sure once you've stopped chatting to her you take time to process the conversation and how it made you feel and do something to make you feel better xLittle Lowe born January 2014 at 36+6

Nice to see you over here Teamlowe
Like the others are saying lily, make sure you and bump remain priority - as harsh as it sounds, your friend will find others to listen too, it doesn't need to always be you
I think we've picked our pram system! We didn't go looking for one, just came across it in BabiesRUs and it ticks all our boxesit's on offer atm for only £150 too, which I think is a very good price for the pram (birth-3yrs), carseat, foot muff & train cover... DH's aunt wants to buy it for us (after the 20wk scan), bless her.:A

Wow, £150 is a fantastic bargain, especially if you didn't have to make any compromises in what you wanted
Just been for a celebratory meal with my parents. Only to harvester but it's dad's favourite atm cos you can have as much bread as you want and I love their ice creamwe're folks of simple pleasures lol
Aww apparently dad was in a meeting when I text to say all was ok and he's announced it to his staff, a very happy grandad indeedLittle Lowe born January 2014 at 36+6

Thanks guys. I'm sure she doesn't realise it's actually quite hard for me. I always offload on OH and he is lovely about it all.
Thanks for the lovely words TL. That's great advice. I think it would probably be easier if i wasn't pregnant at the moment - as you say, I'm paranoid enough as it is.
Zippy - Exciting news about your travel system! Do you mind sharing which one you've chosen? I've been through about 10 already which is stupid. I've probably wasted £0000's. We bought the Phil and Teds Navigator recently which will be the double (DS will be 24 months when she is born and has been walking since 9 months but he loves being in a pushchair). For the moment, I'm using a Quinny Zapp for short trips out and when she is born I'll be taking the seat off and just using the chassis for my car seat. I am a one of the bad parents who keeps their baby in a car seat for more than 5 minutes
Does anyone else really not care when or how Kate Middleton has this baby? I wish her well but bloomin' heck...she isn't the first or last person to give birth!14th October 201020th October 20113rd December 20130 -

Yes me.. I couldn't give a flying fig.. I am more interested in you lot than some random over privileged (text removed by MSE Forum Team).. I don't care one jot.. I don't even care enough to wish her well... they are parasites on the economy way more than disabled people or any other member of society the government are intent on vilifying .. the whole lot of them disgust me tbh.
This baby will just be yet another drain on the countries finances... unless the government decide to stop subsidising their disgusting lifestyle.. the tourism does not make up for their parasitic existence.
