Yes, I did feel it very early this time around much to my suprise! I would say I feel her on a daily basis now although only when I am sat doing nothing. I don't feel anything if I'm walking about.
It's funny though, it's not so much 'flutters' for me. It's more like very distinct 'jolts' and I can feel her when she is rolling over or around. That really does feel like something is rotating in your belly!
If she is growing correctly, she's about 6inches CRL atm, plus legs so it's no wonder I can feel it! It is definitely only on the middle and left side of my stomach though which makes sense as the placenta is front right.
Also, I did tell my friend that I didn't think I would be able cope seeing Hope and she understood so that's a weight off my mind.

I'm on call for work this weekend and just been called out for an issue that's nothing to do with our company, eugh! Nevermind, time + half must remember that
I've been feeling flutterings for a few weeks now, but I work from home so I am sat [STRIKE]at my desk[/STRIKE] in bed for most of the day and am very in tune with my body due to having to recognise IBS symptoms. However, morning of OH's graduation I felt 2 distinct kicks first thing as I was just about to get up. Then yesterday I was sat on the sofa and felt a rotating feeling, like an elbow going over or baby rolling over. That was the weirdest thing I've ever felt. Less than a week until we have our private scan noweeee.
Amy, sorry to hear about your occupational health I guess they are trying not to get sued and oh my at what your OH is calling you hahaha.
Lily, glad your friend was ok with you not going. At least you can share your experiences with each other to ease the pain xxDiary: Getting back on track for 2013 and beyondDEBT FREE 13-10-13 :dance::dance::dance::dance:

Hello ladies, am joining you from the less than 12 weeks thread... Am 12+5 today and had scan on Thursday. Just started telling people over the weekend, so it's only just sinking in... Spent yesterday afternoon with a friend who is 20 weeks pregnant so chatting with her made it feel more real! Going to tell work the news on Monday. This is our first baby (second pregnancy, miscarriage end of 2012).
Just had a question I wondered if any of you ladies had advice. We're thinking of trying to do a weeks holiday abroad either September or October as our last pre-kids holiday. By the end of October I would be 27 weeks pregnant. Has anyone flown abroad while pregnant and what were your experiences? Midwife advised it would be fine up to 28 weeks but I'm nervous - about the flight causing dehydration and about food choices abroad. I know it's not the worst dilemma to have, just wondered if any of you had advice/ your own experiences of flying during pregnancy?fran-o0 -
Hi fran, congrats on your pregnancy- my ds was born 2weeks ago. We flew to new York when i was 20weeks, i made sure i wore flight socks, drank plenty of water on the plane and got up for a.walk every hour. There were girls on the pregnancy thread who had been to Spain etc so im sure someone will offer advice on going somewhere hot.Mum of 2 :j0

Hi Fran, welcome and congratulations
I would say you'll be fine to fly as well, air hostesses still fly but you just need to take a few precautions and make sure you get up to walk around. Alternatively, what about taking the ferry to France if you wanted to be on the safe side?

Fran-o I'm planning to go away at the beginning of september. I'll be around 21 wks then. Midwife suggested 2nd trimester was the best and you wouldn't need a fit to fly certificate. I asked the travel agent for suggestions of where to go at that time of year with decent medical care (just incase) and not too far to fly and she suggested anywhere South of Spain/Spanish islands, so that's what we're planning on. fran-o I went to Majorca when I was 24 / 25 weeks pregnant with DD. Was hilarious, I went with a nice flat tummy and came back with quite the belly. I felt really well and healthy. Also went to San Fran when 12 weeks pregnant which was fine too, but I would say the trip when I was well into my second trimester was far easier and more enjoyable - less tired, less sicky, more relaxed about baby's wellbeing etc.
lily it is definitely baby wriggling around, less flutter like already and more defined movements :T Glad you're doing ok.
lizzak welcome and congratulations :jI'm glad you have supportive friends and family around you who are pleased to hear your news. Pregnancy is 9 months long precisely so that we can spend time getting our heads round the idea.
Really enjoying the cooler period we've had over the weekend. I was on a hen do and managed to stay up until 1.30am last night (in a different , bigger city too so busy and tiring) Was lovely to get home and put my feet up.0 -
Lizzak - welcome
my OH still hasn't got his head round it and we're well into 2nd trimester now.
Mincepiemonster - yay for fluttersand glad you enjoyed the hen weekend, I'm looking forward to the forecast storms.
Well baby is already cheering me up, OH has been vile this evening and had me in tears because I dared to ask him to stop playing his computer game so we could watch a tv programme together. He's now sleeping in the spare room as he refused to apologise for upsetting me. So laid in bed, hand on tum, and I get a distinct kickthen I get two more
That's cheered me right up, thank you little one.
